My first 4Runner - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By Probos - October 9 - 10:00 amIve only had it for a week and all I can say is its AWESOME. With out a doubt the best melding of luxury and toughness out there! Love the ride, comfort, handling and power this beauty has, the new V6 engine is just stellar. The ride is much more comfy than my previous vehicle (Jeep Cherokee) but it still feels tight and responsive.

Would buy another one today - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By Drivernator - October 2 - 2:00 amHaving driven us built autos with the exception of a 1993 Mitsubishi, I would buy another 4Runner today. This is the best built, easiest to drive and park SUV I could find in the market after researching ALL mid-sized SUVs available. I paid a little more than I would have had to pay for a U.S. built SUV, but figure I will save the difference in maintance expenses.

230 thousand strong - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By viper driver - September 12 - 10:52 amGreat vehicle, the best Ive owned in the past 32 years. I have the limited version. The all time 4WD (4 hi) is fantastic. Handles like a dream, have not been able to get it stuck yet (live in CA with frequent drives into OR and NV; avid skier in the Sierra Nevadas). Only issues are cosmetic; some of the backlighting behind the temperature controls has burned out, and theres a CD stuck in the CD player (with no way to get it out). Leather seats have held up well; but Ill need to have some stitching repaired on the drivers seat soon.

Sporty, Rugged and Fun !! - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By Timbo627 - September 7 - 2:00 amI really enjoy my 03 4Runner Ltd. After researching all other midsize SUVs, I selected the 4Runner (after waiting for its release), and after 5,600 miles, Im convinced I made a great choice. The 4Runner is a quality- built vehicle inside and out, and its very fun to drive. The engine is smooth, quiet and has very quick acceleration. In addition, the JBL stereo with the 10 speakers and 6-disc CD changer is absolutely awesome. In summary, Id recommend the 4Runner to anyone looking for a quality midsize SUV. Most (if not all) others are substandard choices!

Best SUV out there - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By 4Jogger125 - July 21 - 10:10 amIve had my 4Runner for exactly 3 years and have done nothing to it minus your oil changes, etc. I have never had a bobble out of my Toyota. I actually do not have a 4WD, and it is top notch in the snow, so I could only imagine how great a 4WD would be. Im 20 years old and I drive hard, but my 4Runner can most certainly keep up. From my short experience as a driver, I am almost certain I will buy nothing but Toyotas from now on.

4RUNNER SPORT BEATS THE rest - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By northpolermike - June 14 - 2:00 amI extensively drove the competition over 2 months, yet none could hold a candle to the 4Runner. The new V6 and 4 speed transmission outperformed the Explorer & Mountaineer V8s, and felt better than the Envoy. The new XREAS suspension performs extremely well, and the VSC and MultiMode shift on the fly is great for my driving conditions. The build quality, quietness, tightness are just superb. The vehicle can meet and exceed the demands of our harsh Arctic winters and road conditions here in North Pole. I cant wait for summer to go off roading.
