  • What a vehicle - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

I started out with safety as no.1 but the QUIET of the vehicle and the handling are far superior to my wifes Honda Accord. Of course Toyotas reliability reputation doesnt hurt either. What a great vehicle.

  • First 4runner and loving it... - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

This is my first 4runner. Was eyeing the Tacoma for years, but having 2 dogs plus hauling snowboarding gear all winter, I decided on the 4runner. No regrets. Dogs love the back, rear window is awesome, handles off road, snow, ice, mud with ease (I did swap out the Dunlops for better tires). Looking for a mid sized suv that handles well on road, handles great offroad, and wont leave you stranded on the side of the freeway? Get a 4runner.

  • The Total Package - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

Highly recommended for anyone considering purchasing an SUV. After driving BMWs for 16 years, the transition was relatively easy. Although the 4Runner is built on a truck platform, it drives like a car. It tackles bumps on the road with ease and offers a smooth ride. Deft touch in regard to road handling; negotiates curves with little sway. The base V6 offers more than enough power if you dont plan on towing a boat or trailer. You dont need to punch the accelerator to feel the surge of power. The list of standard features is considerable compared to others in its class. Comfortable and roomy second row for passengers. Toyota reputation for reliability and quality was a huge selling point.

  • No regrets - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

Replaced my 96 Exploreer and have no regrets. Great ride, quiet, plenty of room, and a stable, solid feel on the road. I have to say that this is the best vehicle I have owned. Pleasantly surprised by mileage performance -- its higher than I expected and higher than indicated on sticker. The 6 cylinder packs plenty of power.

  • Life is Good! Thanks Toyota! - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

I bought my 4Runner as a CPO a few years ago, the first CPO I have ever purchased. It has been superb! 19- 20 MPG in the city and about 23-24 MPG on the highway, marvelous comfort, great stopping power, very low cost of maintenance.

fit and finish above models costing quite a bit more. Good ride and offers plenty of standard feature as well as desireable safety options available.

  • Expensive, but great vehicle - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

Although it could use a little more leg room this is a great vehicle. The dealership installed a custom leather interior for a really good price which saved us thousands (not having to buy the Limited package). Today we gave the vehicle a good run through the desert near the Mexican border. It was well over 100 degrees, climbing 4000 ft. mountains on the back roads and on Interstate 8 and gas mileage was really great and temperature guage never moved. The V8 is very quite and powerful for the size. It should last for years, I have seen a lot of old ones on the road that still look like new. Recommend to at least drive this SUV before buying something else.

  • Love This Truck - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

I have been looking at these 4Runners for a while. I purchased the sport edition and love every aspect of this truck. It rides smooth, quiet, and is everything I ever wanted in a truck. Toyota truly makes the best vehicles.

  • Dont even think about it - just BUY IT! - 2005 Toyota 4Runner
    By -

I bought my first Toyota (a Tacoma Double-Cab) two years ago. Other than routine maintenance, i never experienced a single problem. Had only bought GM vehicles previously. What a difference. plus, my Tacoma held its resale value better than anything I have ever owned. As for the 4-Runner, I have the base model with 4-Wheel drive, a Sunroof, 17" Wheels and a Rear Spoiler. Those were the options most important to me. I absolutely LOVE this vehicle. As others have said, the smoothness of the ride and the quiet interior will remind you of a big luxery auto. The steering is controlled but incredibly tight. Braking, handling, and basically every function is precise. Go get one - any trim level!

  • Tradition Continues! - 2005 Toyota 4Runner
    By -

I decided to buy my second 4-runner after test driving everything else on the market. After 4 years and 177K miles on my 2001, my decision was a no brainer. Toyota Reliability, build quality, and low maintanence made my decision to stay with Toyota easy. My Criteria for a new 4 runner came down to the following. Better ride, Leather interior, more power, a bigger gas tank, and a quiet interior. The 4 runner met all of thse requirements, plus bang for the buck, you would be hard pressed to find a better SUV.
