  • At long last its a 4Runner - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

After years of saying no to SUVs and months of research,I broke down and purchased a 4Runner SR5 RWD V6.If I was going to buy and SUV it had to be a real SUV. The ride is smoother than I ever expected. The truck feels solid and tough. The V6 is powerful and fast on the pick up. Very comfortable interior and rugged yet stilish exterior. Sold on Toyotas history of quality and durability. Could not have made a better choice.

this was my grandmothers own.. she bought it new in 2004 with everything including leather n moon roof.. only except navi.. and we are in 2012.. still runs like new with 45236 miles (i put on 35000 miles on it myself since i got it.!) i love my jeep.! carried it offroading and it did excellent.. we live on a small island.. so i get around 18.2 the most of mpg.! its still shining like when we first bought it.. except lately i have it quite dirty.. only problem i can say i have.. is the tire pressure light has been on from 2009 and it havent come off.. but it doesnt bother us.! recently it started making this noise that sounds like the steering.. but its in the shop getting fix.! no biggie.

  • Trade in 98 limited for 04 - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

I traded in my 1998 4x4 limited for a is great. The ride is definitely more car like for all those 2x4 people. Both my dad and I though still miss the 98-though the ride was lot more truck like. It was easier to know where your tires were at off road especially.Hopefully the new painted bumpers will perform like the old chrome ones thatlooked perfect after alot of rocks and branches flying at them. Overall it is very comfortable and nice driving vehicle which a few small design kinks. The interior material that is used to cover the doors is not very good with several bumps. In my old limited that material still looked new after five years.

  • Everything I Ever Wanted - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

I traded in my SR5 Tundra for the 04 4Runner. As much as I loved the Tundra, I love this vehicle more. It has the same smooth V8, and the transmission is equally smooth. I love the way it handles, and the full- time 4WD means never losing traction on wet pavement (which my Tundra always did). I highly recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a quality ride. Mine hasnt seen much off-road yet, but soon. The ride on the street is excellent.

  • just love it - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

I went from a 2000 Solar to a 2004 4Runner, so there was a period of adjustment. After having the 4Runner for 9 months, I can say it is just great. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a mid-sized SUV. And I paid exactly what I expected to pay for it (no hidden costs at all).

  • Love the Quality and Performance - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

I am 52 years old and I purchased the 2004, 4-Runner, V8 Sport Edition in Dec 2003. So far, I have over 80K miles on this car, with absolutely no issue. The only issue I had, was related to the driver seat, in which the seat would drop gradually and you had to pump the seat up every once in a while (design issue). I must say that this car is extremely reliable. I have never had any issue with this car and after 80K mile the car is running just like the day I purchased it. All parts including the battery are still original parts. I must say that I have done oil and filter change every 3000 miles, but none of the major scheduled services yet. Great car with great quality.

After some haggling at the dealership over this car being a CPO we came to terms. The dealer would replace the two missing key FOBs, fix the significant scratch on the right side and make this look like it should for a CPO. The third row seat is missing on this, but thats ok with me. Now the vehicle. This is as smooth as many cars as I have driven. Not sure where the editors came up with the harsh ride, but I have driven this so far from Madison, WI to Toledo 3 times in the 60 days, and twice from Madison to Hayward, WI. I am averaging 21.8 MPG over all with my best being 23.7 MPG Hwy at 75mph. The cabin is quiet and comfortable and well laid out for long trips. I have the v-6.

  • hot rod performance in an SUV? - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

I test drove a ton of other suvs in this class,(durango, explorer, cherokee, range rover, tahoe, etc...) none came even close to the performance, reliability, qaulity, handling or overall satisfaction level for me. Same goes for the Dealership that helped me find the perfect car and get a fair price! (Hanover Toyota)
