  • Great Vehicle - 2003 Toyota 4Runner

I owned a 2001 SR5 before this and loved it. Ive had this one for 6 months and I do love it. The V8 was one of the best things they ever did. This thing will move. The 2003 seems wider and a little more roomier. I like the control panel as well. I was looking for something a little more fuel efficient, but Im glad I have the V8, Ill pay the extra in gas.

  • So in Love - 2003 Toyota 4Runner

I bought mine in December 2002, so Ive had it almost a year. 16,000 miles later, Im still loving it! I was waiting for the unveiling of the new design and was not disappointed. I bought the LTD because I didnt like the gray plastic moldings. Im glad that I splurged for the LTD model. The comfort is unbeatable and the new styling won me over. This is my first Toyota and I have to say that the hype about quality and craftsmanship is indeed deserved! Im sold on Toyotas in the future.

This truck is like none other in industry, I looked at them all! You really have to go and drive it to appriecitate it. Once you drive it you get over the cladding on the outside. The dealership I purchased at has free oil changes, What more can you ask for????????

the vehicle runs great and gives a comfortable ride. looks great too. turns many heads. many compliments too. poor gas mileage though and always hit my knee on the drivers door when getting out!!!

  • Very Impressed - 2003 Toyota 4Runner

Evaluated all of the US and foreign mid and full-sized SUVs in this price range. With the 4.7L V8, this was the vehicle to beat. Smooth, powerful Lexus designed drivetrain, extremely quiet, great ride, great looks, lots of room, and averaging between 18 and 20 mpg. The quality of this vehicle is superb.

  • never thought id have another SUV - 2003 Toyota 4Runner

i needed a winter car, something with AWD or FT4WD. i had a very bad experience with reliability of an audi and volvo (which i was replacing), so those were out. subarus were too small inside. i drove the 4runner after testing a honda pilot and acura mdx. i was impressed by the solidity of build, acceleration (its better than edmunds lets on) and the highway ride.

I have had this vehicle 4 months, one of which has been in the shop. The sunroof quit working and so did the dealership. I finally got the car back and the paint is peeling off of the front! 40K for this??? I should have bought a Hyundai!!

  • Think again before you buy a 2003 4R - 2003 Toyota 4Runner

I purchased a new 2003 4Runner Sport 4wd from Toyota of Roswell on November, 2002. After 4K miles this is a partial list of what is wrong...exhaust enters into the passenger compartment, the truck vibrates when the sunroof is opened, the gas mileage is 10-12 in the highway, both door panels vibrate and rattle, the hatch rattles, the center rear console rattles, HAC does not work, the transmission does not shift properly when cold, etc. I paid an extra $700 for Toyoguard but I cannot even get a loaner vechicle if I leave the car in for service.

  • Former Jeep Owner - 2003 Toyota 4Runner

Just replaced a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8. Was going to buy a car this time after my latest Jeep experience, but the new 4Runner blows away the Jeep in comfort, features, space, interior and exterior looks, build quality, cost to own, etc...it brought me back. Cant wait to take it on a trip, and drive it off road.
