Blown away by a used car - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By graves2014 - March 11 - 7:51 pmI was a long time BMW owner. Ive had at least 4 over the past two decades, but I really liked my friends 4Runner. I couldnt afford a new one, so I looked for a used one. Not an easy task. There are just not that many for sale. I can see why. ...My 03 V8 4runner is faster than my BMW. Its still very sharp inside and out. The extra utility was such a bonus. 4 guys and our golf clubs..? No problem. Its a whole different dynamic. I love it. Even with a lot more miles than I was originally comfortable with purchasing, after taking to my mechanic. I have total confidence in it. Its just a quality SUV. I recommend one to anybody. Paddleboard next? why not

Most Underappreciated SUV - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By 4Runner2003 - March 3 - 8:00 pmIm 19 years old and have had two 4runners, a 1999 and a 2003. I test drove every midsize SUV and some full size before I bought the second 4runner. I kept telling myself that I should get something different but this vehicle just fits me so naturally. Everyone who I let drive my 4runner comments on how stable, predictable and comfortable it is. Its also very capable off road. It seems no one has fully picked up on the 4runners excellent traits. Theres still way too many Explorers on the road.

best car I have owned - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By jcsmith529 - February 28 - 10:00 amI, like many long time Toyota fans, wasnt quick to take to the new stylings etc. of the 2003 4runner. I bucked it for a while until the 98 started to seem a little small. Then we test drove it, one word came to mind, Amazing. Bigger, smoother ride, more power, more options, all the bells and whistles standard. It offers the most for the money by far. We will have it for years to come. I dont know why we ever questioned it.

By ABennett - February 24 - 11:22 am166,000 miles and nothing has EVER gone wrong with the engine. All I have ever done is change the oil every 4,000 miles. Great car if it fits your needs.

MY 4-RUNNER - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By DEL - February 22 - 10:00 amTHIS IS THE 4TH TOYOTA WE HAVE PURCHASED (FROM THE SAME DEALERSHIP IN FACT). WE GOT RID OF OUR PRIDE VOLVO BECAUSE IT DID NOT GIVE US THE RELIABILITY AS THE COMPANY REPUTES (AND AS WE THOUGHT?). WITH ITS NEW DESIGN, WE BELIEVE THAT WE MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE, BACKED BY TOYOTAS RELIABILITY. IT HAS A VERY QUIETE RIDE FOR AN SUV. IT ALSO HAVE A MUCH BETTER ADVANTAGE WITH ITS V8 POWERED ENGINE. ITS ACCELERATION IS QUICK AND SMOOTH. I SOMETIMES GET A KICK OUT OF OTHER DRIVERS ON THE HIGHWAY WHENEVER THEY THINK THEY CAN OUT-RUN ME. PEOPLE GOT USED OF LOOKING AT 4-RUNNERS MAINLY WITH A V6 ENGINE. STEERING IS ALSO QUICK AND SMOOTH.

Loving it! - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By hemaar - February 22 - 10:00 amI have driven Toyotas for the last probably 10 or more years. Never had a 4runner but I can tell you. I could not have gone wrong with this one. I am loving it all the way. Very quiet ride and smooth. Yes there is a little rattle from the moon roof no big deal. Other than that I am very happy.

I love it - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By Outgolfin0 - February 22 - 10:00 amI have had no problems with my 4 Runner. I have already taken it off- road and it performed like a champ. Although the gas mileage is low. I think it is pretty high for a 4X4 V8 SUV. I get about 18-19MPG. Plus a smooth ride.

I really like this truck - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By Blazer - January 16 - 10:00 amFrom the minute I drove this SUV out of the dealership I was amazed at the performance of the V-8 engine. This motor has a massive amount of power. It is very smooth and quiet. The transmission is excellent. You dont even realize it is shifting in most cases. Handling is superb with the XREAS suspension system. Love the look of the hood scoop. The ride is smooth and quiet. Truck sits high and has a solid feel. Has plently of gadgets to keep your interest. Build quality is good. Automatic climate control is really nice. I have always been a GM customer, but I am hooked on Toyota now. This truck puts my previous 97 Chevy Blazer which performed well to shame.
