to 4Runner. @50,000 miles - still original brakes, tires, and everything else with at least 15-20K to go. Gas mileage (with smooth driving style) - 20-23 MPG. Ride quality is better than that of others. And at this price point for a 4WD model, this is the cheapest SUV on the market.

We had looked at earlier 4-Runners but dismissed them because they were too "truck-like." After test-driving this one we were hooked! It DEFINITELY doesnt ride like a "truck", and is one of the smoother SUVs weve driven! Weve owned and/or driven over a dozen recent model SUVs (Grand Cherokee, TrailBlazer, Explorer, Mountaineer, etc.....) but this has been our favorite, BY FAR! Contrary to other reviewers, I actually like the temperature controls and "fake granite" trim. The controls are easy to use and the granite is 100% better than fake woodgrain!

we bought our 4runner 3 years ago with 100000 miles on it, now it has 175000 miles and runs and drives like new! the only thing we have done to it is put new brakes on it, I use synthetic oil and change it every 5000 miles and its full every time. if you have not owned a 4runner you are missing out! Awsome SUV!

  • needs larger seats,and mpg - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

i found the limited to be full of conveniences and a few inconveniences. i have a 38" waist. the seat belt is hard to find and fasten when i get into the drivers seat.seats need to be a little wider. more options for the money spent would also be a plus. adjustable pedels should come standard with the limited. fuel milege is much worse than a jaguar xj8. which we thought was bad till the limited showed up in our garage.

  • What a great car. - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

We love this car, should have bought one a long time ago. Ive owned several toyotas and this is my favorite so far. They finally got rid of the slide out cup holders just under the cd player, and the new ones are great I can fit a large Nalgene bottle it it, they are are adjustable for smaller cups, and they dont get in the way of any of the controls. The 4runner is very comfortable and controls are all in a handy location. Plenty of power - for what I need - quiet, and the third row option is great for my little girls. The engine is larger than our last SUV and the gas mileage is better. It is also a little wider than they used to be so its more roomy.

  • Safe and most reliable - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

We bought this car in December 2004. I was pregnant with my first child and wanted a safe and reliable car with good cargo space. This has been our family car for the last 7.5 years and has NEVER failed us. The car now has 134,000 miles & the only maintenance weve done are tires, brakes, a break light & oil changes. I feel so safe in this car; rugged yet has navigation, power everything, rear view camera, great stereo. Although truck-like it has great turning radius & weaves in NYC traffic easily. Powerful V8 accelerates great to merge onto hwy. We tow trailer on camping trips each year! Cargo room is great for house projects & kid gear. Tough, safe, reliable, responsive. I LOVE MY 4RUNNER!

  • Limited V6 - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

Ive only had this car for two weeks. The seats are comfortable, but Ive started to notice that the vehicle seems to lean a lot when cornering, causing me to lean a lot as well. I have an old 4Runner and never had that problem. Lots of wind noise, all around the windshield and especially around the side mirrors, even with all the windows shut. Luckily, the stereo sounds good -- better to drown out all that wind noise with. The plastic "bumpers" are dumb on a truck. Dont even think about bumping anything with them.

This ismy first car ever! Now I dont know what I am going to do in a few years when it is time to get a new one because I love this car so much. For anyone that is thinking of purchasing a mid- sized suv this really is the perfect one.I looked at almost every mid- sized suv on the market with in about a $40,000 and this is the one to get.My family is an SUV family! My mom drives a Lexus RX330 and my dad drives the new 2005 Porsha SUV although we havent received it cause it is being build. So I would like to think I know a thing or two about how these type cars run, and believe you me this is a great one.For the money both my parents are thinking of selling th

Sticker was $31,745, I bought it for $28,000. Try buying at the end of the month for best bargains and use the internet department. Obtain competitors best internet price before making offers and dont budge. If theyre hungry enough for your business, they will sell it at your price.
