If you want a great car to drive this is it. I have had many cars over the years, but the 4Runner (new style) is GREAT! The only draw back is the gas mileage, but its not bad for a V8. I have averaged between 13-23MPG. Thanks Toyota!

The 2003 4runner is a great suv inside and out. Great V8 along with an inspiring interior. Its a true SUV with extreme comfort. Towing is adequate along with cargo space. Along with Toyotas reliabity record, it is a great invesment.

Great SUV...Toyota does it again! Improved power, ride, handling, comfort and styling. Smooth, pwerful and resposive V-8 with silky smooth 5spd automatic transmission. Controls are great. Picked the Limited for full time 4wd, power and smoothness (alos didnt like SR5 or Sport gray platic body cladding).

  • ANSWER MY QUESTIONS!!! - 2003 Toyota 4Runner

Great truck but need questions answered! First Toyota and am loving it - love all the features but have some questions to see if other users having same problems. 1. I get shocked when I get out of the car... every time - how do I lose the static electricity? 2. The lumbar feels like it gives when I accelerate, like the plastic or whatever has cracked on the seat? 3. Double decker - sort of cool but can I take it out? has been more of a pain than useful b/c when I put stuff on there and accelerate, it usually falls off. 4. Back window seems to shake a lot (unstable) when driving with it partially down. 5. WHen changing gears car jumps.

Over all love this SUV. Test drove other SUVs and loved this one soon as I got in. Beware - be ready to buy when you test drive - you wont want to leave this one behind.

  • Very dependable and reliable - Great Truck - 2003 Toyota 4Runner

Brought this vehicle off the lot and only had one major problem (fuel lines replacement for $1,000) other than that I had no other major issues. Its great on highway at 25 or more per gallon driving 55 or 65 mph. I could go on but its a great truck. I currently have 198K and I have a second used 4runner (2004 V8 4x4) with over 250k that I bought with 203K and it still runs great.

  • Best SUV Ever Built by Toyota - 2003 Toyota 4Runner

Sold my Jeep Grand Cherokee (too mnay problems since I bought, may just unlucky or what). I went around dealers and looking for a new SUV. Finally looking at the new 4Runner. Wow...What a big improvement and the greatest SUV ever. Bought it on the same day. My Thanksgiving gift. Now I can drive distance.

  • A Must Drive - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
    By -

Purchased 03 4 runner limited, 4x4, V8 and Wow! I knew it was nice during the test drive but the more I drive it the better I like it. This vehicle is extremely well built and everything about it was well thought out by Toyota. The V8 power with the new 5 speed auto trans. is very smooth and it feels like an expensive, high end luxary car. The suspension is firm yet comfortable. If you think this 4 runner is anything like the old one, think again. If your thinking of buying an new car or SUV, this is a MUST drive! I love it.

  • I love my 4Runner - 2003 Toyota 4Runner

My husband gave me a 50K allowance on a new car. I saw the 32K Sport Edition V8 4Runner, took a test drive ... and fell in love. I have driven it from TX to CA twice, all round TX and in the LA traffic - this car is a joy to own, fun to drive, has tons of pep but is very safe and reliable since I am starting a new family. It has a fun classy exterior, comfortable interior - and it is so so very quiet!

  • My first SUV ever! - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
    By -

I literally have only had this truck for 24 hrs, but had to comment. I never owned an suv before but always thought about it. I am happy with this one. It feels comfortable to me(5ft 1 in) and I feel like I sit high in it! It is classy yet also fun. I have driven most of the competitors and hands down, the 4runner has everything a person would need in an suv.
