2003 4Runner V8 - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By Buzz Mann - March 7 - 10:00 amSo far so good. Ive had my Runner now for 7 weeks and have driven over 3,500 kms since I bought it (2,200 miles). Runs like a charm. Decent fuel economy considering its a V8 - in fact its better on gas than my previous 1999 V6 Runner. Great ride, great performance, great handling and an excellent array of safety features made this new Runner a sure winner over the competition. I shopped around and considered domestics and other foreign brands, and finally settled for another 4Runner. My insurance premiums actually came down over $200 per year versus my 1999 Runner. Toyota has done it again!

4X4 - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By biohazard - February 3 - 2:00 amOverall design very nice. At first, the plastic seemed too much but is useful to cut down on the dents and dings. The V8 is very peppy coupled to a tranny that adjusts to driving conditions and personal driving habits. The XREAS is without a doubt a feature you cant live without. XREAS keeps the vehicle from tilting in turns. Dont buy the vehicle without it. The climate control knobs are the only feature I dont like but nothing can be completely perfect. This is the best SUV with cool features. All others are the same ole thing, boring.

My first 4Runner - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By lescarpenito - February 3 - 2:00 amHaving been discouraged with the lack of interior space in previous year models, I am pleased with the amount of room with the 2003 re-design. Also I am pleased to see the v-8 available since the old v-6 didnt provide enough power for this size of vehicle. The X- REAS shock system is great!!! Do have to fumble at times looking for window controls, wished they were positioned higher up on the door panel

Great 8 - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By Jimhorn - January 24 - 10:00 amHad this vehicle for a month now. Great engine; it really gets up and goes. Im a little disappointed in the tires, stereo, lack of vanity mirrors, and headroom. Other than those items, standard features were great. Coming from a luxury sedan, I expected a little more.

Great SUV - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By Ed Parans - December 26 - 3:46 pmI got my 1st 4 runner in 1995, my 2nd in 2000. This year I decided to upgrade into something more luxurious. I still wanted the room so a crossover was out of the question.I tried the MDX and the RX 330 and was left feeling dissapointed. They were nice enough inside but did not feel right. When I test drove a limited 4 runner, I got the best of both worlds. A great , reliable SUV in the mountains and pretty sweet ride when we head downtown.

Great decision! - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By Matt97 - December 12 - 10:00 amI traded my 97 Tahoe for the Runner 3 weeks ago and never looked back. Other than missing the seemingly 1 million cubic feet of cargo space, the Tahoe is but a memory. The i-force V8 and 5- speed auto in the Toyota are easily the best motor/trans combo in any truck I have ever driven. I find that even with my heaviest lead foot, I am still getting 15/19 mpg. Solid build with only one minor interior issue. X-reas suspension removes all body roll.

Awesome SUV - Best value around - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By jpr9454 - December 12 - 10:00 amJust purchased a new SR5 V8! This SUV is awesome, the engine is super smooth and quiet! The interior is made of high quality materials, my only complaint is the placement of the fuel door latch being next to the hood release; The climate controls are unique but easily manageable; the double decker rear cargo shelf and storage galore round out a beautiful interior. The ride is excellent and very comfortable. Build quality is very very impressive. Test drive one 2day!
