67,000 mile review - 2005 Toyota 4Runner
By t h a m - October 14 - 8:10 pmAfter driving 4.5 years I figured I would write another review w/ reliability notes. Following service manual to a T and everything is running fine other than my sunroof which broke wide open at 55k mi with a $2400 replacement bill that I did not fix (just got it closed). Computer read out says Im averaging 20.3 mpg but its 10% off so actual is 18 mpg - reasonable for a body on frame SUV. Replaced tires at 40k from dealer oems to Mich Cross Terrains - nice improvement. At 63", head and leg room are just adequate. 2 prong outlet is great, but only 1 12v is not. Front passenger space is small - friends ride knees up at 61". Good truck overall and would recommend to friends/family.

Wheres the build quality? - 2005 Toyota 4Runner
By John - September 12 - 1:10 pmIve had my 4Runner for 3 weeks and it drives great, but Im disappointed with squeaks and rattles coming from the back seat and moonroof. The engine also has a disturbing ticking sound when idling. Its going back to the dealership tomorrow so they can try to fix it again.

first 4 wheel drive - 2005 Toyota 4Runner
By mag red - August 18 - 3:53 pmGood solid body. big change from from 2000 Tahoe. Lack of power adjustable passenger seat serious mistake--would not buy another toyota without one. Inconceivable at 40000$ that this item was missing. Some wind noise - removed crossbars on roof rack - only slight reduction in wind noise.

By Jessica - August 10 - 11:26 amThis car is perfect for almost anyone! Its fun to drive, yet you can carry whatever you want in the back. It has a great design, is reliable, and the fuel isnt too bad for an SUV! Im so glad I decided to get the 4Runner, this is the best car I have ever had.

Great SUV - 2005 Toyota 4Runner
By Laura - July 19 - 4:36 pmI bought the V8 Limited 4WD and I have not been disappointed, it drives like a dream not at all like the sled like suvs I have had in the past! The interior is plush and comfy and the controls are a bit confusing at first, but you catch on pretty quick I wish the power windows were a little higher up and more illuminated, also it needs rear cup holders that are not in seat beacuse if you have three in the rear no place for cups except the bottle holders in the door. Overall drive and ride is excellent!

4WD SR5 4 RUNNER/V6 - 2005 Toyota 4Runner
By AF-NDI-guy - July 19 - 10:00 amSo far it has been worth every penny even though I had for this short time. My buddy has a 2004 and I had the chance to ride in it every time we played golf. It has plenty of room for our golf clubs and pull carts! Also I am in the military and haul alot of gear around and it also has plenty of room for that. The ride is uncomparable to my last vehicle Jeep GC V8,2001. The interior design is simple but very modern looking. The exterior is to fall in love with. The safety features are just too long to list! If you are looking at getting one you will be satisfied and get your moneys worth from it reliability and re-sale value!
