Fun to drive!! Very resonsive. Plenty of towing power even driving thru the mountains. Only negative is a rattle in the sunroof took 4 visits to the dealership to get the problem resolved.

Solid vehicle that has been a driven daily since purchase (along with yearly road trips from Midwest to Coastal states). Several minor issues have arisen since purchase that have been handled under warranty.

this is my 3rd 4runner. the v8 is so smooth it was worth the extra money. the only thing that seems to be a waste is the folding cargo mat in the back. everything falls off unless its tied down.

The V8 is powerful! The appearance is elegant yet rugged. Nicely appointed interior without the nonsense "extras" of the Lexus GX 470. Comparing to the Lexus - 4RUNNER IS MUCH BETTER FOR $15,000 LESS!

Am happy that they finally started offering the appearance package on the Sport Edition. Incredible Ride and Handling with the Sport Package. Comfortable interior with lots of gadget compartments. Was finally able to take it off road and it performed superbly. Even the ride off road is incredible. Steering and shifting is rock solid. Was able to purchase $500 below invoice even though there was no rebate. Cant believe what a well designed package Toyota put out. Plan on owning it for the next 6-7 years happily.

Interior finish of Limited leaves much to be desired. Poor lighting of controls is bad also. My SUV is trouble free. One service call for a burned out light. My Michilen tires show little wear for 70 000 miles

Purchased on 4-17-03.Toyota hit a homerun with the limited edition. The ride is smooth and I must say the preformance is outstanding.I sold my mercedes CL-500 (2000) and purchased the limited edition because the ride is better than the mercedes and it just is a better all around vehicle. Trust me,you will not be disappointed if you purchase one.A "10" overall!!!

  • Great Quality Mid-size Truck - 2003 Toyota 4Runner

I have had my 2003 4runner for 11 years now with 156,000 miles and only had one major mechanical problem, which was replacement of gas tank fuel lines. Other than routine maintenance and wear and tear, the truck is great. I get really good gas mileage on the highway between 23 and 25 mpg even driving 70 mph on the hwy. In some instances I can get 27 mpg just driving 55 mph on cruise control. Hope to keep it for 300k and another 10 or 11 years. Oh yeah I use synthetic oil.
