Fun SUV - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By Love My 4-Runner - August 2 - 10:00 amThe 4 Runner is fast and handles well on the road. Braking is great. I use to own a Suburban and dont regret lossing cargo room for a better built SUV. I get better gas mileage then the sticker stated, on the Hwy doing 75-80 I get 19.5 - 20.2 miles per gallon. In town I have been getting 18.1. The ride is smooth & very little road noise for a SUV.

Good on road, good off road - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By nuch - May 28 - 8:20 amLove the 4-Runner, even though I am a Jeep guy. When my Jeep died out on a trail, I got to take my wifes SR5 out to rescue it. The Toyota made it out with no problems, although it is a good thing it had skid plates. They work, too. 4x4 worked wonderfully. I am 65" tall, and a model w/sunroof wouldnt work. Without sunroof I have no problems at all fitting in it. Gas mileage is about 17 city 22 hwy (6cyl), good for an SUV of this size.

By NeeNee - May 9 - 9:53 pmMy hubby surprised me with my 4 runner as a grad present and I have been happy with a few exceptions. (I wish he had gotten one with a sunroof.) Please see below for the things I like, dont like and problems that Ive had with my Toyota. P.S. Invest in some Husky mats made for your 4runner at time of purchase & your carpet will look like new forever! I wish I had got mine when I purchased instead of the factory mats. Which I might add werent included in my purchase. I had to buy in addition to the purchase of the car!

By ebara - May 1 - 1:09 amPurchased our awesome 4Runner in Dec 2012 w/ 100K. Now it has 125K & hasnt failed us...nor will it. Traded a Cadillac with 70K for it because Caddy was having major mechanical problems. Just took a 4000-mile trip to the mountains with the 4Runner, and it held strong, even with over 100K miles! Toyota has quality that no automaker can surpass. Dont be afraid to buy a Toyota w/ over 100K, as it can easily get to 200K or 300K w/ no problems, as long as you keep up on scheduled maintenance. We fight over who gets to take the 4Runner, & our other car has 100K less miles on it. A 4Runner will outlast any USA-engineered car you would ever buy. A Toyota w/ 100K is like a USA car with 0 miles.

4Runner - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By GC7769 - April 1 - 10:00 amMy first brand new vehicle and I chose the 2004 Toyota 4Runner SR5. A great buy with many included options like a CD/Tape player with 6 speakers, moonroof, power everything, running boards, and leather. Very roomy for me at 61". Lots of leg room and very comfortable during long drives. The gas mileage is acceptable since it is an SUV. A great family vehicle and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in owning an SUV.
