Help to Potential Buyers - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By rado - July 24 - 2:00 amI analyze this SUV among others. My other car is really a Porsche (Boxster S). This SUV is very powerful. I drove the V6 and the V8. The V6 is powerful over 3000 rpm. The V8 is ridiculous powerful. It takes off faster than my Porsche 0-30 which means my wife is safe at every intersection. X-REAS is a MUST (period). Take your time and test the X-REAS and the non X-REAS. With the X-REAS it drives like a sport car, I am serious. The transmision is very responsive.

Smooth as silk - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By Randy8213 - June 5 - 10:00 amThe good; Fast, smooth, quite and fun to drive. The bad; For $30,000+ you should get visor mirrors. Visor swing out arm doesnt block the sun well. Drink holder doesnt hold drinks real well. Driver floor mat doesnt have heal gaurd. Could use slightly better brakes. Overall; It seems to be more American than Japanese. Toyota seems to be not as concerned with the little details like they have in the past. A refined vechicle that has been stripped down of the little goodies that I so loved. Its still a great vechicle, but Im starting to think that its not the best deal around.

Love the new style - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By jmgager - May 8 - 10:00 amBought this 4Runner used with 10K on it. It is a 2003 but has the color matched fenders and body, Looks awesome. the V8 engine has tons of power and the ride is smoother then ever. I previously had a 1999 4Runner Lmtd (That I loved) and this new one puts that one to shame. Toyota has really taken a step up with this new model.

Excellent Truck - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By PeterS - April 30 - 2:00 amA truly great sport ute. Size is plenty big but not too big. Acceleration with the V8 is beeter than could be expected in a truck this size. The handling, espcially in corners, is also excellent for a truck its size. The only complaint is gas mileage, but with a truck like this you should know that will stink.

2003 4Runner Limted - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By elvisdog - April 24 - 10:00 amI purchased my 2003 4Runner Limited this past January, and I have been extremely happy with it. This truck has outstanding comfort (more so than a 5 series BMW), passing ability (the V-8 has impressive power), and a handsome design (people comment on it all the time). Even though it has a car-like ride, it handled this past winters 26 inch blizzard of snow with no problem. I especially like the design and looks of the interior. It is an intuitive layout, with brushed aluminum and "granite-look" accents. I hate the look of fake wood. My advice to anyone considering purchasing a mid-size suv would be to not be lazy and test drive this vehicle.

ticking noise from engine - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By netster - April 24 - 10:00 amGreat truck overall, fun to drive and sturdy. However, since I purchased the truck, there has been a ticking sound coming from the engine. The dealer said that it is the pully and would fix when toyota figures out a fix.
