  • 2nd one in the family - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

Our other 4Runner is a 98, which has had only one problem in 6 years! It rides rough, but is great overall. When we test drove the 05, there was no comparison at all. It is super smooth on the road, absolutely no body sway, and has allot more pickup, with a few more mpg! Anyone considering a mid-size SUV should test drive one before making a decision, its worth the time. Also, you get quite a bit more for your money now than in 09. Traction control, Vehicle stability control, both standard on all 4Runners.

  • Wow! - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

Ive had my 4runner for a little over a month with about 2500 miles and I couldnt be happier. The ride, engine power, styling, is all excellent. I did alot of research and as far as quality, reliability and resale value there isnt a better mid size SUV on the market today. As far as gas mileage i have been pleasently surprised ive been avg almost 21mpg since i left the dealers lot. Which is very good for that size of vehicle with that engine. I would highly rec. this suv to anyone.

Ive put on about 5K miles in the last couple of months and have not been disappointed. The ride is really smooth and the V6 is more than adequate for quiet acceleration. Toyota has such a great reputation that it was really easy to buy this vehicle w/o worrying about quality. The first weekend I took it cross country skiing with 3 friends. We laid one seat down and put all the skis and poles in the back. I even slept one night in the back by putting the entire back seat down and used a sleeping bag and a pad. Im 6 tall and could sleep comfortably. This would make a great vehicle for camping no doubt. My only complaint is the stock stereo is a little anemic.

  • Loven it - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

I traded my 2000 4runner limited for the 2005 2WD Limited I have to say this vehicle is by far the best vehicle I have owned, a nav system, 10 speaker sound system, leather heated seats, a back up camera, power moon roof 17 mpg city 23 hwy, and a ride that is excellent. 245 hp, a tow package (5000 lbs) well you get the picture, love everything about my 4runner. Oh it comes with 4 different airbags. Plan on keep it for a long time. Oh yeah it runs on regular unleaded fuel, yahoo!!!

  • A Really Great SUV! - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

Smooth yet strong engine. Fast accelleration. The 4Runner performs as good as it looks. We took it to the Smoky Mountains and it had no trouble on steep inclines. Plenty of power in all situations. Lifetime power train warranty at Ft Myers Toyota was another great selling point. Would have liked to have a little more leg room in drivers seat, but was able to adjust seat tilt to correct the tight fit. All in all this is a great vehicle both inside and out.

  • Best SUV I have ever owned - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

This is my 3rd SUV, previously owned a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a 2002 Dodge Durango. The 4Runner is far superior in ride comfort, reliability, resale value, and fuel economy. This is the quietest vehicle I have ever owned, even more quiet than a 97 Acura 2.2CL I had a number of years ago. V6 has plenty of power and I am averaging around 19-20 MPG in town. I really like this SUV and would recommend it to anyone in the market for a reliable and sporty alternative to the larger SUVs. Dont buy anything before you drive this Toyota.

The perfect vehicle for anyone who truly wants to get away from the asphalt and onto something a little more challenging. Great handling car, the V8 engine is quiet and powerful. All wheel drive is sure footed, handles well under a load as well as unhitched on the open road. Interior fit and finish is good, new design gives the truck a cleaner, less bulky appearance, and the functional Sport Edition hood scoop give the vehicle an agressive, unobstructed view of the road, and the off road. Lots of thoughtful design went into the interior as well, but the temp and air controls took some getting used to. Great Truck for the offroader and trips to the mall.

  • We love it !!!! - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

We spent the last couple of years reviewing which SUV we wanted...we have test driven almost every small and mid size SUV out there. We liked this one the best... the option of the third row seats pushed us over the edge (not to metion the second baby). This SUV definitely is good value for the money. Lots of std options on the base model.

Well built, low road noise. Nicely equipped standard features.

  • Simply unbelievable SUV! - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

This thing is the best vehicle I have ever had, hands down. I have had it for only a little over a month now and I still look for any excuse to drive it. I am amazed how tightly built this vehicle is. I had an 01 Explorer Eddie Bauer before this and there is no comparison. Extremely quiet, incredible power, great features. I am a Toyota owner for life now.
