  • Love It!!! - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

No regrets about buying this vehicle. Ive had my 4 runner for almost a year now. The more I drive it, the more I love it. It runs, rides, and looks great. Gas mileage has been far better than I had anticipated. Great vehicle overall!

  • Worth the wait - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

Had to wait SEVERAL months for the Sport with SIDE IMPACT Air bags. Rolled off the lot with 5 miles on it! It is in a class by itself. Clean lines, crisp interior. TONS of places to out things. And the burgandy color! The responses while driving are fantastic. STOPS on a dime for deer crossing!

My 4runner is perfect for what I need and thats the key. For the people who dont like the towing (marginal) of the 4runner or that its too trucklike (its built on a truck frame!) make sure you buy the vehicle for what you will use it for. Mine is great in the mountains, hauling 4 people with ski equipment, camping gear, bikes, etc. Phenomenal in the snow and mud and mountain passes, but still refined on flat surfaces. Much quieter than my 2000 4runner. Good size without feeling boatlike. Bulletproof reliability and resale value. This vehicle certainly covers the utility in SUV,with great body styling. Again, I wouldnt suggest for towing or grocery grabbing.

Shopped around. 4Runner may be the perfect SUV. Pretty sure it will climb vertical walls, leap tall buildings, etc. Built like a tank, but makes pleasant purring sounds when I put my foot in it to pass. 3rd row useless for adults, but great for occasional kid carting.

  • 4-Runner Sport 4wd V8 - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

Vehicle is a pleasure to drive. 6,000 miles and not a problem one. Have gotten several compliments on what a sharp looking vehicle it is. Really like the looks & ride of the Sport Edition. Added a Yakima basket to the roof and really adds to storage capacity on longer trips. For a V8 Im pleased with the mpg. I get between 17 & 20 on the highway depending on terrain & how loaded I am and about 16 to 17 in town. Shopped & researched a lot before purchasing and not disappointed with my selection. Would buy one again.

  • Bulletproof... - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

Great overall vehicle! 4x4 in snow EXCELLENT! Rides better than C-Class Benz. Ended up selling Benz was driving my SR5 90% of the time. Took a road trip from Seattle to Santa Monica and it drove like a DREAM. I have owned many, many vehicles. My advise: "GET YOUR HANDS ON A TOYOTA"! My 2005 looks brand new, gas, oil and scheduled maint. is all I do. It NEVER FAILED, EVER... Just gas and oil.

  • Totally would do again! - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

This is my first 4Runner and first SUV. After 6 months of researching many consumer websites about this SUV, I am totally satified with my purchase. Its fun to drive and more comfortable than most SUVs its size. The standard V6 engine is more than adequate for speed and power when you need it. Of course the Toyota 4Runners are quite "pricey", however, it is true what they say: "You get what you pay for!" I would totally do it all over again! :)

Dring the 4Runner is night and day from my last SUV, a Mitsubishi Montero Sport Limited. It handles well and is a pretty quite drive. It does not have much body roll, like many SUVs and trucks out there. I highly recommend the V8.

Bought it in Mar 05. My first Toyota experience. Have been a Nissan Customer for the last fifteen years but the problems with the 05 Pathfinder sent me in the direction of the 4-runner.Was equiped with a few things I didnt really need, but the price was right and finding a runner with a third row seat was very difficult. Overall am very satisfied with my 4-runner. The head room for the third row seat is definitely for kids only unless you are 5 foot or under as an adult. Seems to be soom wind noise at speeds above 45 mph and it appears to be from the outside mirrors. Would I buy another 4- runner? At this point I would, most definitely.
