LOVE IT!!! - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By forunna - October 14 - 10:00 amLike it better than the 01 Audi A4 I traded in on it. Gas mileage is better than expected at 18.2 (based on my own calculations, but close to the displays 18.1). Plenty of top in power with great passing ability...surprised me actually that the acceleration is as good as it is. Really enjoy driving it!!! Also, totally recommend Toyota of Orange in Southern California

ok by me - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By BC - September 21 - 4:16 pmAll said I like the 4Runner. It seems to be durable and dependable. I work all over the country, often away for months at a time. Toyota has provided a vehicle that is both comfortable on the highway and rugged enough for the trails and backroads.

So Far So Good... - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By rl4673 - September 13 - 2:00 amTraded an 02 Sport Edition for an 04 Sport Edition. No comparison. This is my 3rd 4Runner and it is PERFECT. Would like to see a little better mileage, but thats about it.. Bigger, Stronger and more comfortable than the 02.

Best vehicle I have ever owned or driven - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By mmon10 - September 8 - 4:05 pmWe got our 2004 SR5 V8 4WD 4Runner a couple of years ago as a certified pre-owned. It had about 50k miles, drove like new. Never gave us any issues at all, always ran like a champ and never needed any repairs. I drove that truck over countless miles of bad road and it wouldnt rattle, wouldnt waiver, and never broke down. Change out the oil and put gas in it and you were good to go. The only thing I would like to see improved is the MPG. Sadly, not all Toyotas are created equal, but the 4Runner is the flagship unit when it comes to reliability and durability, and if I could, I would buy mine back in a heartbeat even with double miles. Really regret trading it in. REALLY miss my 4Runner!!!

Nothing even comes close - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By Autoinspector - August 12 - 12:26 pmto 4Runner. @50,000 miles - still original brakes, tires, and everything else with at least 15-20K to go. Gas mileage (with smooth driving style) - 20-23 MPG. Ride quality is better than that of others. And at this price point for a 4WD model, this is the cheapest SUV on the market.

What a change! - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By chabney - July 31 - 2:00 amWe had looked at earlier 4-Runners but dismissed them because they were too "truck-like." After test-driving this one we were hooked! It DEFINITELY doesnt ride like a "truck", and is one of the smoother SUVs weve driven! Weve owned and/or driven over a dozen recent model SUVs (Grand Cherokee, TrailBlazer, Explorer, Mountaineer, etc.....) but this has been our favorite, BY FAR! Contrary to other reviewers, I actually like the temperature controls and "fake granite" trim. The controls are easy to use and the granite is 100% better than fake woodgrain!

simply the best! - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By sclay1 - July 23 - 5:40 amwe bought our 4runner 3 years ago with 100000 miles on it, now it has 175000 miles and runs and drives like new! the only thing we have done to it is put new brakes on it, I use synthetic oil and change it every 5000 miles and its full every time. if you have not owned a 4runner you are missing out! Awsome SUV!
