  • Best all around SUV in class - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

I drove all the SUVs and this was the best overall choice. I own 2. A Limited and the SR 5 for my wife. The only drawback to the SR 5 is leather and a power seat should be an option in the SR 5 V-6.

  • Great vehicle! - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

We had looked at several SUVs, and the 4Runner had everything we wanted along with a great re-sale value. We got the running boards, the roof rack, the moon roof, the DVD entertainment system. Everything I wanted or that was important to me was available. A great car and so much fun to drive! It looks good to, I would recommend it to anyone and everyone! I love my Toyota 4Runner!

Toyota offers the best of everything, for the best price. Hence, value! You get performance, safety, economy, extras, and downright bulletproof reliability in the quality of the car. Too much to list! I like the fact that this car is built in Japan (95%). Toyota is efficient, and their employees are hard working and dedicated, so work tends to be superior to American-made autos. Ive owned Mercedes and Chevrolet, but Toyota has the competition beaten decisively. The runner up in my decision was the Chevy Silverado, but it was more $, and older technology, not to mention, bad gas mileage. Dont buy anything till you test drive the 4Runner!!!

  • The best yet - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

This is the best SUV out there! When you compare the total package and build quality against the rest 4Runner is miles ahead. If you want power the new V8 is fantastic. Smooth and quite at any speed. The materials are first rate throughout. The only drawback Ive found is its a bit pricey. On the other hand you really get what you pay for here. Ive had more expensive cars than this one but none better. I love driving it and it will go places the driver wont go. Had a major snowstorm and with 10" deep this SUV didnt even breath hard. I like options so I went with the ltd but any model will do. You cant go wrong with the new 4Runner...

powerful acceleration. the controls for the heat, etc are a little hard to get used to, but we like the dual capability. we have the nav system which has the camera so we can see what we are backing up on and this feature is the best. the ride is smooth, we just love everything about the truck, it is wonderful!

This is my third Toyota, and I have loved each one. But, this is my favorite. In this SUV, you sit up high giving you greater visibility. It has versatility because it allows you to transport many things with the back seat down. It has great features. Its a quality vehicle. Its fun to drive!

The full time 4WD V8 is truly a sophisticated beast - but drives like a dream. The kick down power on this engine has to be experienced, as well as its quietness and smoothness. The 4R just gets better. This is my 4th since the primitive days of 1986. At 6ft 1" theres much more legroom and elbow room. What a machine!!!!!!!!!

  • I LOVE this truck - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

If youre thinking of any SUV under $40,000, buy this one. For looks, its obviously beautiful (I prefer the sport edition with the hood scoop, spoiler, and roof rails). It is AWESOME offroad and feels more like a truck designed for offroading than cheaply made American SUVs or "road only" Japanese and German SUVs. On road, it is average and takes a little getting used to. The sport suspension is excellent for treating it sorta like a sports car, but braking has to be done earlier. The V8 eats gas but the truck is POWERFUL. Not only fast, but like heavy fast (maybe torque?) It just feels like its a beast. Feels very solid for a Japanese car (I had a Benz) Cant recommend it highly enough!

I bought the Limited 4WD new and have not had any problems. Pacific Blue is a great color, but discontinued in 2006. Seems to drink a lot gas but not much different from a V6 performance car and probably as good as most mid sized SUVs. 6 CD changer is obsolete since the advent of the Ipod. A $500 portable navigation system probably works as well as the $1900 optionally installed navigation.
