Sweet SUV - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By MarkinCT - September 4 - 10:00 amI have been loving my new 4Runner for 1200 miles so far. Averaging 17.4 mpg, but mostly stop and go. Hey, its a V8 so thats not bad. This truck looks hot, gets noticed. Build and materials appear premium to other makes. In terms of quality, I think this is like a slightly smaller version of the Land Cruiser at half the price. Interior is more refined that the Sequoia (which I strongly considered, but 4Runner was more bang for the buck). With the V8, it can out-perform most sedans when in a pinch. Comfortable passenger room. Nissan Pathfinder cannot match the 4Runner in any contest.

First SUV - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By toolmanjohn - August 22 - 2:00 amThis being my first SUV, I was looking for a 4wd vehicle that would drive nicely on road. The 4runner exceeds my expectations. I will have this vehicle for MANY years to come. My Limited has all the power stuff, and the V6 is very powerful. Its just as quick as my sedan was. The 4wd system is primo! Excellent traction in snowy conditions. No stopping it on uphills. Worst thing about buying a Toyota was BUYING a Toyota!! Typical of dealerships they played every game.

Just a great vehicle! - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By tomcat83 - July 29 - 10:00 amThis is my fifth new Toyota and it is the best of the bunch. That is saying a lot when you are talking about Toyota vehicles! Everytime I climb in it I get excited! It is that fun to drive!

Performance - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By Joetrack - July 29 - 10:00 amI had a 2001 Tundra before the 4Runner the ride on the Tundra was better than the 4Runner smooth. The Runner, rides like a truck. The seats squeak driver and passagers, The sunroof when open rattles. Rear end rattles on rough roads.

Stepped Up to a 4 Runner - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By blm012 - July 29 - 10:00 amWith the X-REAS suspension, there is virtually no bounce or roll and although the handling is solid, bumps do not jar the passengers. The 10 speaker JBL system provides crisp notes and deep base tones from our 6 disk CD changer. The glove box door sustained a couple a shallow scratches and they were easily repaired when the dealers trim shop applied heat and lightly buffed with a silicone coated cloth. The dual climate control, handling, and seating comfort make this a road trip vehicle.

03 Forerunner - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By Gregg Lutz - June 27 - 2:00 amIt feels more solid than my previous 98, Forerunner. With the V/8 it has all the power you will ever need and it seems, so far, to get similar gas mileage. The new 5 speed transmission is flawless.

Very Nice! - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By bobbbb - June 16 - 10:00 amWe bought this 4Runner a few weeks ago and love it. Had the last 4Runner for almost 9 years (and 147,000 trouble free miles!), but it was time for a new one. You can really tell the quality is there unlike most of the competition. The handling is great and the power is great in the 6-cyl. What more can you ask for? Its a great vehicle (and Im not normally a fan of SUVs!).

Toyota has done it again. - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By TITAN1 - June 16 - 10:00 amIve driven every SUV out there, and I can honestly tell you the 2003 Four- runner is the best of the lot.Its "i- force" V8 impossibly smooth, strong and refined.Fuel economy is actually pretty decent for a SUV of this size and weight (Ive averaged 17 in the city and about 21 on the highway.)As for interior appointments; they are second to none, with unquestionably the best stereo Ive heard in any vehicle, suv or otherwise.By the look, sound and feel of things in the cockpit, youd almost swear you were in a Lexus.Add to all of this that the completely redesigned Fourrunner has killer good looks, and go- anywhere all-wheel-drive capability.

Kudos to Toyota - 2003 Toyota 4Runner
By HuntPSU1 - June 16 - 10:00 amJust purchased my V6 Ltd with all the bells and whistles. Previously drove a 97 4Runner Ltd 4x4. Theres no comparison to the older model--the 2003 model is tops in all categories-- handling, power, features, and in my opinion, styling. While not cheap-- dealers are negotiating on price. My previous 4Runner had no significant problems, and I expect nothing less with this one. If you are in the market, definitely test drive it--it will impress you!

By HPOOH - June 11 - 10:00 amXREAS is great!!! Ride quality is above par, quiet and powerful V6 engine. Camry has 5-speed auto on the V6.... why not the 4runner? Gas milage is somewhat bad... i am getting about 16mpg
