Bad stuff......No power seats??? A/C controls look like a 1960s design. Seat fabric looks it came out of an old airplane. Radio has mediocre sound quality. Way too much gap around tires - it looks empty. 7 empty console & dash buttons with plastic filler plugs - real cheesy design. Automatic headlights should be standard in this era. All windows should be express down & up. Front seatbacks need to be deeper.Great stuff.....bullet proof reliability, quiet ride, strong 6 cyl motor, excellent 5 speed tranny, terrific handling and turning radius, top notch quality, cold A/C, nice wide travel tilt wheel, power rear hatch pulldown, power hatch window is great.

I bought this vehicle because of Toyotas legendary reliability. I drive 35,000 miles per year and dont need a vehicle I cant depend on. An added bonus was the vehicles 4 wheel drive capabilities. It will go almost anywhere.

I have owned many Toyotas and value their reliability, low cost maintenance, and wonderful features. This model has all of those benefits and incredble power of the 8 cyl. engine. Gas milage could be a little better but the power is worth the slight difference in milage.

With my third 4Runner I have found that they continue to make it better. I have had a 99, 04 and now an 05 and every year they make the small changes that you dont even notice you would like changed. I will always own a 4Runner as I would never question its reliability or quality.

  • 1ST 4 Runner Ever - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

My SUV had 4 miles when purchased. I really enjoy sitting high and seeing the road. I can feel the solidness in the sterring, the brakes the turns and even on a wet day it feels safe in handling. As a female riding this well put together vechicle, I feel safe and secure and the V6 power is the greatest. Respect is the key word when driving, respect other drivers and respect the road, and this vehicle reputation brings all the respect back at it. I love it. I also have a 1996 camry that I would not trade for anything. Thank you Toyota or making a short size feel super sized.

This is my second 4 runner in 2 1/2 years, abefore I had 3 pathfinders and before that Jeeps. None come any where near the performance and integrity of the is vehicle. It ride is as good as a Camry and it is as tough as a Tundra truck. I have over 75K miles between my 2003 and 2005 and not one problem.

  • Excellent SUV - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

This has been my wifes vehicle for 5 years and now with 107k on the clock, we have done nothing to the vehicle except regular maintenance and one battery change out. This car is a fantastic family SUV. The car has plenty of power, a very smooth transmission and all out feel of a well made automobile. Hopefully we will have it for another 100k miles!

  • Not the perfect SUV - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

While this was my 2nd 4Runner and vastly improved over the previous iteration I found it NOT TO BE WITHOUT PROBLEMS. The heater went down in the coldest time last winter and took two weeks for repair parts to be installed. An ongoing broken seal in the windshield reservoir had to be replaced 3 times and a recall for some other problem. The worst ongoing problem this car suffers from is if you drive with the sunroof and rear window open (the only way you can avoid severe wind buffeting) fumes from the exhaust enter the vehicle and its disgusting to have to breath that in while you drive. Complaints to Toyota yielded no satisfaction. Its a REAL DESIGN FLAW that cannot be overcome!

  • Great SUV for the money - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

I love this suv. It has a smooth ride and looks great. The seats fold down easily and the interior is functional as well as great looking. The MPG is of course what you expect with an SUV about 20 MPG but it makes up for it with the nice features and smooth ride. The interior has numerous well positioned recepticles for all sorts of items ranging from drinks to sunglasses. The rear let down window makes loading smaller items a breeze. I would highly reccommend the vehicle.
