  • 4Runner Sport V8 - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

The 2005 4Runner Sport V8 (all wheel drive) is a wonderful SUV. We had previously purchased the 2003 V6 SR5 4Runner and have like it so much that we have now purchased the new 2005 V8 Sport edition. Toyota reliability just cant be beat and the new 4Runners are fun to drive. Id highly recommend the 4Runner.

I love this vehicle, it is fun to drive, very solid yet smooth ride. It sits up high so that you can see way up ahead the road. Gas mileage was surprising to me... I get and average of 21 mpg on the highway. Toyota is a very well built vehicle and they always have stood behind their product for me.

This vehicle is by far the best Ive owned!!! It drives very well and handles well during inclement weather. Fuel usage is better than anticipated. The 4Runner is a sporty, comfortable, and safe vehicle that everyone in your family will enjoy. The 4Runner has come a long way and I am committed to continue driving a Toyota for years to come.

I previously owned a 1995 sr5 4runner 2wd and recently purchased a 2005 4wd limited 4.0 v6 model and highly recommend it... it drives wonderful. It is very quiet and smooth. and I know it will pull my 19ft bass boat just fine, it has nice power and acceleration..very strong. I live in florida and know that the v6 4.0 will handle everything i need it too, if you do live in a mountainous state/town the v8 may be the way to go.

  • Best Mid-Sized SUV on Market! - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

Ive read most of the posts here, and most of positive ones are right on. We have the 2005 v8 4x4, and its exceeded our expectations. Plenty of power, interior room is good and the height-adjustable driver seat is very comfortable and accommodates a variety of body types. Towing our 2300 lb popup camper from Denver to Page AZ with climate control gave us 16mpg at average of 65mph! Thats pretty good! Control layout is very good. MPG in town has been a consistent 17, and weve had as much as 24 on highway. Its been as bad as 16, but if you dont drive it like you stole it, it will easily do 18.

SUV is all around fun to drive, I used to own a 2000 4 runner limited. Its literally like night and day, especially the past two winters. The VSC and traction control make driving fun in the worst weather. The SUV is roomier and the ergonomics are great.

  • As Good as it possibly gets...!!! - 2005 Toyota 4Runner

I have had 3 jeeps previously & found them to be quite capable. However after some treks to "Big Sky" country, in severe weather, & pulling a trailer, I can say hands down NOTHING rides this smooth, is THIS capable, while being THIS much fun to drive ! When I go a long distance it is only upon egress one realizes that "Hey, Im in a truck... who knew ! Get all the bells & whistles though, the headrest DVDs are a crowd pleaser, with the 110v outlet & a playstation 2 its also a VERY quiet ride... sans all of the "Are we there yets?"

I have had my new 4 Runner Sports Edition for a little over a month. I have put a little over 1500 mi. on it. It runs perfect in every way. I tried to find something wrong with it, but I have not been able too. Motor, electronic, stereo and ride are excellent. Im getting 19.8 mpg. average driving. The stereo is really nice, I just love the surround sound type speaker setup.

This car is a typical Toyota, built rock solid with excellent reliability. I drive through out So Cal and this car is very comfortable on long commutes. I am 6-0 tall and have plenty of leg and head room. The ride is excellent. Very smooth on the road and around town. Gas mileage exceeds specs. I get 24+ (rated at 22 mpg) on the highway. I also find the optional 3rd row seat a very useful addition. I am very happy with this SUV.

Test drive and you will buy. This is my second Toyota in two years and I like the build quality, overall sturdiness of the vehicles and high resale values.
