Best SUV Ive Ever Owned - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By Clint DeBrular - November 26 - 2:30 amOwning this vehicle has been nothing short of joyous. I cant say enough about the build quality. My other mode of transportation is a BMW m-5 and Ive got to say that it is just as well built as that $70,000.00 BMW! Not only is it built well but the performance is just as stunning. Road handling is carlike while off road is just what you would expect from a real truck. Plus, you can pull up to a fancy resturant and still hold your head high. Ford, Chevy, Dodge -- I dont think so. Give me a Toyota 4-Runner any day of the week.. and twice on Sunday.

Solid Built Vehicle - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By Obadiah - October 21 - 10:00 amOur second Toyota. Previous Toyota had 154k miles on it with NO significant repairs whatsoever; car would have easily gone another 100k. The 4Runner clearly has the same quality build feel to it. Seating is very comfortable. Ride and handling is pleasant. Good looks, both inside and out. When you plunk down 30k for a vehicle you better do your homework! With the 4Runner you get a solid, all- around vehicle with minimal risk.

I named her - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By ChristineGJohnson - October 21 - 10:00 amI initially wanted a converible and it was a toss-up between the Solara and the Sebring. "The Hulk" was on the show room floor and I fell in love.

4 alot more than Running - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By Wally - September 26 - 10:00 amWith 4000 miles now, everything has been great with this truck. We traded a Cadillac Escalade for this and we wonder why we didnt do it sooner. We have gotten excellent gas mileage for a SUV, its quiet, handles, amd brakes extremely well. One thing I would have like to have been able to get is height adjustment on the passenger seat. There is no need for a rear cargo door button because there is an electronic release on the outside of the cargo door. The motorized locking mechanisim is very nice for those who dont like to slam doors shut. The JBL stereo is very nice too. The 4.0 six is a great engine.

Very Satisfied Consumer - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By Qz - September 26 - 10:00 amThe only thing Ive found frustrating is when I go to use the home link garage door opener at night. It would have been nice to have it back lit.

an underrated car - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By ed_norman - September 15 - 10:00 amAfter comparing every SUV in the same price range, ($35,000-40,000) I choose the 4runner based upon features, quality, and looks, and have not been disappointed. This is one of the best designed cars I have owned; the interior features are great. The handling with the X-reas suspension is also excellent, and will easily exceed the limits that most people feel comfortable with. The ride and handling are excellent for an off-road capable SUV.

Nearly all 10s - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By K Lewis - September 15 - 10:00 amOur first 4Runner but not our first Toyota. Outstanding features: ergonomically well thought out; very smooth on-pavement characteristics. Ample power with the V6, many of the features found on the higher-priced Lexus GX. A few insignificant issues have caused us to trade the vehicle for a Sequoia. The cabin didnt provide enough head room--with the seat fully lowered, I would brush the headliner with the top of my head. Also, the front windshield had imperfections which were distracting. A small rattle in the sunroof and high- frequency noise from the ventillation system added up to too many dissatisfactions for us to keep the vehicle.
