4-Runner Honestly - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By Jeff11399 - June 2 - 2:00 amInterior is well designed, with controls in easy reach. its hard to be uncomfortable. Telescoping/tilt steering keeps the drivers air bag at the right distance. Engine noise? You wonder if its running. Plenty of acceleration! Exterior cues are right on! Sporty, modern... This vehicle works well in every condition. I took it off road a month after we got it, and it handled like a champ! The snow this past winter was nothing. VSC prevented any surprises! If you can get an suv, get the 4-Runner!

First Impressions - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By Dooey - May 23 - 10:00 amA surprisingly comfortable, quiet and secure vehicle. First departure from European sport sedans for me. Love being able to see other than only straight up when in parking lots.

Great Buy - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By anandAmb - May 2 - 10:00 amPROS: This is the second SUV I have owned (the first was a Pathfinder) and am very impressed by the smooth and powerful 245hp/V6 engine. If you are not bent on towing a lot, this would be a better choice than the V8. The interior is quiet refined and comfortable. This definitely gives you more value for your money than owning a BMW X5. I rate this as an EXCELLENT BUY!

4runner, part 2 - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By shsmiller - May 2 - 10:00 amI just bought my new 2003 4runner limited with navigation. I LOVE THIS CAR! When I got into the new 4runner, I was amazed! It is as/more comfortable than anything I have ever riden in, including top-of- the-line Mercedes/Jags, etc. The touch screen navigation system is simple and fast to use, and the sound system is amazing! The fact that it came standard with towing capacity and roof rails saved me a good $1000 from having to get them installed after-market. I cant say enough about this vehicle!!!

Best SUV available - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By Bagels dad - April 25 - 11:03 amPowerful, comfortable, practical and elegant. I love driving it and my dog cant wait to go for rides. The looks are growing on me but I wish it looked tougher and more distinctive. Inside, it is fantastic. The smooth engine and torquie acceleration are tremendous and it is ready for any kind of weather condition. Just keep it in gas and oil and go. Best vehicle I have ever owned.

SR5 V8 4WD Winner - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By glider4 - April 10 - 10:00 amMy first drive in this great SUV was a 1,300 mile trek across Oregon, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming backroads. The V-8 delivers amazing pick-up. Handling a bit soft but acceptable. This is my 28th car in 34 years and is #2 on my list of best ever - the 1969 Camaro Z/28 is still #1.

Awesome SUV - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By suvfan - March 15 - 2:00 amI am extremely pleased with my new 4Runner! The ride is amazingly smooth, acceleration is quick. I dont feel like Im in a truck at all. It drives and rides like a car. The space is great. The double-decker cargo system is very useful. I love the standard running boards. There are a lot of storage compartments, which is always nice. I love the back-up mirrors! I have always been a 4Runner fan, but the newest model is even better! There is more room on the interior. Older models were nice too, but always felt a little too cramped in the front seats. This new model is very nice and spacious.

Smart vehicle purchase - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By apache1894 - March 10 - 11:53 pmI bought my 4Runner used, with 74,000 miles on it in Feb. 2013. I was not concerned about the mileage, as the engines on these SUVs only begin to break in about about 100,000 miles. The vehicle is heavy, and feels as durable and as robust as a tank...and I used to be a M-1 Abrams tank commander, so I know toughness when I see it! :o) As the truck sports a "mild mannered" 4.7L V-8, the engine is powerful and provides great acceleration. Love the sound of the engine too! The interior of the vehicle is laid out well, and has great ergonomics, which make it comfortable to drive long distance. This is the best vehicle that I have ever owned...smart vehicle purchase indeed!

The Best Of The Best - 2004 Toyota 4Runner

This truck rocks - 2004 Toyota 4Runner
By bhkintx - February 7 - 10:00 amI love this truck. I wanted a sporty car but really needed a truck. The 4runner (w/V8) has incredible acceleration and handles like a car. I use it frequently to take clients out and it has plenty of room for 4 adults (I owned a 2000 4runner for 4 motnhs and got rid of it because it was too small and too underpowered.)
