Love V8! - 2005 Toyota 4Runner
By Simon - August 29 - 10:23 pmI strongly recommend you get V8. Its the same engine used in Lexus GX470 and if you test drive both V6 and V8, youll definitely notice the difference big time. V8 is so smooth and quick. It feels faster and more responsive than my Audi A6 2.7T.

could not be better - 2005 Toyota 4Runner
By john kitchens - August 29 - 8:33 amI read just about all the reviews about the 4runner edmunds has. the vehicle lives up to it all. I can not be more pleased with this SUV. I drive mostly city and highway and this SUV is a breeze and the comfort is a 10! dont be fooled by the 6cy engine its more than enough. During the fall and winter I hunt and pull my trailer and ATV, NO PROBLEM!! Interior controls seemed to be customer fit for me. Do your self a favor buy this SUV.

The best bang for your buck - 2005 Toyota 4Runner
By Abed - August 22 - 2:26 amI bought this car a bout a month ago and I love it, I fight with my wife for who is going to drive it. I came back through a bad snow storm and I could not believe how it handled, it was great and fun. It handles great and I feel very confident having my families in it. I would loved to have a comfy 3rd row seat in it.

By gkitching - August 9 - 9:56 pmNear perfect vehicle. Used it on some tough jeep roads in colorado. Has one flaw - needs overdrive badly.

Just bought one - 2005 Toyota 4Runner
By 4runner8762 - July 21 - 4:20 amI bought in mid 2014, a 2005 Toyota 4runner v6 Sport edition. It had 67k miles on it and 2-3 previous owners. I absolutely love it. the biggest catch for me buying it was the mpg, as my previous car was a civic. in all honesty it gets decent mpg, my city is 18, and highway is an easy 24. just dont drive like an idiot and mpgs arent too bad at all. the layout is great, super practical and simple. the back is big enough to sleep two and have room for gear. the engine is plenty powerful enough, although i can imagine a v8 being a bit stronger off the line. when i bought it I had to replace the alternator, and i did a seafoam flush of the oil and gas. great machine, buy it!

Awesome car - 2005 Toyota 4Runner
By pokeweed - July 18 - 2:53 pmI updated from a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Having driven older 4Runners, my expectations were low - I actually went to the dealer to look at the Highlander. I ended up with a loaded V8 4Runner and have never been happier. Great power, ride, handling, fit, and finish. Best cup holders in its class! Lots of cool touches. Feels like a Lexus. Drive is incredible - my wife is afraid of SUVs, and even she loves it! Unlike car-based SUVs, this car feels rugged and has an element of go-anywhere toughness and fun the others lack. Our first drive was from Denver to Vail - plenty of power for the passes. Handled great off-road to the hiking trails too. We LOVE it!

#1 - 2005 Toyota 4Runner
By Cinda Greene - July 7 - 3:20 pmWe brought the 4runner because of its looks, reliablity, and value after used, we are pleased. Its performance in passing slow cars on two lane roads is great. Its good to know you can get through any kind of snow or slippery condition if you need too also. It has a comfortable ride.

How much better can it get? - 2005 Toyota 4Runner
By greg - June 28 - 5:06 amThis is mine and my wifes fourth 4- runner. We just traded our 01 in on a 05. Wow! We loved our 01, but this vehicle is a work of art. The fit and finish is next to none. The styling is outstanding and form and fuction is fantastic! How much better can it get? Scary thought.

It doesnt get any better... - 2005 Toyota 4Runner
By Bob Kim - June 22 - 5:23 pmThe car has gotten me through the one of the worst winters Ive ever experienced. With over a foot of snow on the roads, I just throw my car into 4x4 and I can get anywhere without worrying about spinouts.
