  • Happy with new Suburu - 2010 Subaru Outback

Had to order the car, since we wanted the 6 speed manual, so far, it was worth the wait. Price was very good, for this much vehicle. So far, I am very happy.

Trading my 2002 LL Bean Outback was not easy...but the new 2010 is such a great vehicle I could not resist. We compared it to the Toyota RAV 4 V6 and found the Outback to be more comfortable and smoother, overall. We needed to be able to tow a small camper, and the Outback has the towing capacity we need, without going to a V6. Gas mileage is posted at 22-29, and in the city I am getting almost 25 so far. And did I say the leather seats are soooo nice? This is our 5th Subaru, and we have had good experiences with every one.

I have been driving the redesigned Outback for nearly two weeks. I have gotten approximately 23-25 mpg in the city and around 31 mpg on the highway. Power is not great but I can handle a little less power for the great gas mileage. This car has a huge amount of room for a family of four and looks good too. The comfortable seats are an added benefit. This is definitely a great value with AWD on top!

This is our first Subaru, we have test drove many SUVs and other crossovers, this was the last one we test drove. We love our Subie..drives great in the snow, does not even care what snow is!! The one thing my husband wishes it had was memory seats and the retractable side mirrors. I am super happy about the AWD and our Great Dane fits perfectly in the back. :)

We bought two 2005 Outbacks for our children as used cars. We wanted safe reliable cars with all wheel drive for the New England winters. My wife and I were so pleased with these cars that we decided to add a third Outback this month. We purchased a 2010 Outback Premium model in Sky Blue. I am the daily driver and just love the car. It is an extraordinary value when compared with the new Audi A4 wagon which I drove with a price of $42,000 plus. The new Outback design is spacious and very comfortable and fun to drive. Prior to owning this Outback we have owned two BMWs and two Hondas. Frankly, Subaru was not a car we considered before this. Now we have three in the family.

I planned two years ago that my next car will be a white Toyota Highlander. It took two minutes to change that decision after seeing the new Outback 2010 in front of Costco one weekend last November. Styling is a personal matter, but for me this was the only car in a long while for which I couldnt find an obvious flaw or exaggeration. It was love at first sight. I purchased mine, a white 2.5i CVT last month and absolutely love it (the only white on the lot and ... didnt want to wait). I have 1200 miles on it so far and averaging 25mpg in the city and 30mpg hwy. The CVT is a blast, same as comfort, quietness and AWT performance.

This is the third Subaru I have owned and it is the best yet. Really enjoy the added room inside. I can find no quarrel with appearance inside or out. Drives very quite and assertive. Appears to be built as well as all previous Subarus. Good maintenance and they just keep on running.

We bought 2.5 outback in Nov. I drive mostly on weekends. Wife loves the car. Its very comfortable and quiet on the road. The CVT and the bluetooth are great. Its kind of hard to do parallel parking on the street in the city. I already scratched it few times.. too bad.

This is my 8th Subaru and we have had it almost one week now. I made a trip and got 34.2 mpg and around town I am getting 27.9 mpg so that is quite good for a new engine with about 300 miles on it. I have had a little road noise from the back tires but the car seems to be performing well. This car is a lot bigger than the previous models and the fit and finish is good. The CVT transmission is great and is very smooth and I find the 2.5 engine fine for most driving conditions. The seats are comfortable and there is plenty of leg room for the front and rear passengers. The Stereo and media hub I ordered work well together and sounds great. The bluetooth phone works good.

  • Roof rack no good for touring kayaks! - 2010 Subaru Outback
    By -

We bought the 2010 Outback in August and planned to give our much loved 01 to our nephew. Our long trip was scheduled for early September. That gave us time to attach our Yakima system for two touring kayaks onto the new car. But after frustrating days on our own, several trips to a rack specialty shop with different choices, and a talk with a Yakima rep, we realized that Subarus new roof rack was not going to work for us. The cross bars are too close together, the rails allow no flexibility in attaching after market systems, on so on. Outdoor enthusiasts beware, this could happen to you! We put all our gear back on the 2001 and had a great trip. Our nephew had to wait for his car.
