  • Good car, great combination of features - 2015 Subaru Outback
    By -

The car is super safe and reliable (other than the transmission recall) and does everything pretty darn good. With good tires I have no concern driving anywhere and I do mountain passes with snow regularly. Tons of room too. Comfortable ride, seats and a good layout. Having the hatchback is very useful. My only complaint is there are cars with the same fuel economy (I get 31 mixed) that have more power. I find the car normally acceptable but forget passing on single lane roads unless you have TONS of room. Almost 10 seconds 0-60 in this day and age should really be a crime, especially in a $33k vehicle.

  • Not at all happy - 2015 Subaru Outback
    By -

Ive had my 2015 Outback since August. Within the first week, we noticed several rattles. I took it to the dealer for its first oil change and mentioned the rattles. They said they couldnt duplicate two of them (a rattle under the dash and a rattle on the rear passenger side), and for the 3rd, they told me to not put the seatbelt positioners in the lowest setting, even though that fits me better. The car has been to a different dealership twice now and will be going in again this week, all for the same issues. I agree with others about the wind noise, the short seat bottoms, lack of interior storage, etc. Im very disappointed with the quality of this car and regret buying it.

  • Subaru joins the many automakers that kill roofline height - 2015 Subaru Outback

With this OUtback, my wife is pleased, but not me. When Isit in the front seat I feel like I am aout to eat the roof in front of me. THe old Outback;s rooflije did not slope down as much as this one. I have poor visibility in this car. I wanted to like the new Outback but its not for me. Ive been looking for a car myself, so far the Cmax is a better option.

  • 5th Subaru and the Worst one ever - 2015 Subaru Outback
    By -

We bought our 5th Subaru because of the Outbacks revised exterior styling, 4 cylinder engine and the new touch screen system. I was happy as we drove off into the sunset and then my attitude soured. I think the entire entertainment layout is horrible. The volume control for the stereo is very small. Touch screen is not intuitive. The outside temp and time displays are very small. The worst is how it handles in the snow. Just driving in my neighborhood I have slid around corners and through corners with bad traction control and antilock braking. My confidence is shattered. Mountain driving is no longer fun as I am white knuckling the entire time. Anyone else experience this?

  • Update on the wind noise - 2015 Subaru Outback
    By -

I talked to Subaru of America and the dealership- they both admit that MOST 2015 Outbacks and Legacy have loud wind noise coming from the front windows. They HOPE to have a solution soon??? They suggest putting masking tape on the seal??? So you buy a $30,000 + car and than go tape it with masking tape... nice! I feel sorry I bought this 2015 Outback. Better alternatives: Toyota Venza AWD , Nisan Rogue, Honda CRV, Toyota RAV 4 , Acura RDX even Hyundai Santa FE.

  • 2015 Outback not what it is advertised - 2015 Subaru Outback
    By -

This is my fourth Outback and the first one I have not been happy with. I have a limited and felt that I have been duped. When I was shown the car minus the GPS because they didnt have them yet the salesperson raved about how great is was, voice activated and intuitive. The voice activation is a joke, the voice recognition is a horrible. When I took it to the dealer to complain all they could do was say I was right, it didnt live up to the hype. It only give four preloaded catagories to use the voice recognition on. Also the emphasized the improved gas mileage over my previous Outbacks (2010, 2013). It is at least 3 mpg less.

Just upgraded from a 2013 to 2015 Subaru Outback. They improved its handling in snow and the electronic steering and cvt are smoother. I rated the 2015 low due to quality of the fit and finish of the body panels – especially my hood. My 2013 and other manufactures have nice consistent gaps between body panels. I even found an online video where someone was showing issues with their hood.
