Overview & Reviews
Subaru's well-regarded Forester crossover sport-ute has been completely redesigned to be an even more enjoyable addition to your family. Engineers have given the tall wagon more interior room, a stiffer body structure, a revised chassis and more standard feature content -- all while keeping exterior dimensions the same and reducing the curb weight by 90 pounds.
- Standard all-wheel drive, availability of upscale features, high safety scores.
- Only one engine choice, price can be higher than most of the competition.

Great in snow & ice - 2003 Subaru Forester

03 Forester - 2003 Subaru Forester
By Mr Kibs - July 9 - 2:00 amvery surprised by the performance this mini suv has. Lots of value and a huge bargain for what you pay for. I bought mine for its reliability and AWD. Takes corners like a sports car, and has the feeling like its glued to the road! Where can you get heated seats, automatic climate control, AWD and more for under $24K. Love the panorama view of the road, almost no blind spots.

First time Subaru owner - 2003 Subaru Forester
By n.munson - June 11 - 10:00 amDuring the last 2 winter in New York, the Forester proved to be the best purchase in a car, we ever made. Great fun to drive, gives the driver a real feel for the road conditions. We are over all happy with our purchase.

great reliability - 2003 Subaru Forester
By Ken Brown - May 30 - 1:16 amA faulty remote was the only problem in the first 30,000 miles. Great car but only 25 mpg. Subaru needs a clean diesel or hybrid for those of us who worry about the environment.

03 Forester 2.5X (5spd.) - 2003 Subaru Forester
By cruadin - December 15 - 10:00 amI love this car. It is peppy, agile, and comfortable. Its design is well thought out and it has a roomy interior for both passengers and cargo. I was reluctant to move from the six cylinder engines of my previous vehicles to a four banger, but this Subaru engine delivers plenty of horsepower. The bonus from that is much better fuel economy with little noticeable drop in vehicle power.

Baby Tank - 2003 Subaru Forester
By Dave - May 27 - 3:36 pmExcellent combination of style and practicalaty. Its surefooted as a mountain goat and always eager to please. I love the interior with all the nooks and crannies to store stuff. I counted 21 storage places, not to mention the places under the rear deck. Great visibility, and it pulls my pop-up camper with ease. The vehicle feels like it was poured out of a mold, instead of manufactured.

my wife LOVES this car - 2003 Subaru Forester
By ken_from_nj - March 27 - 10:00 amHad need for a new vehicle in Sept and w/ 6 month baby - looked for a "wagon" type car ideally with awd/4wd but not a monster suv and wanted to stay btwn 20- 25k (lower end) after endless searching the forester fit the bill perfectly. have it 3 weeks & already have trip to VT on it. rides great & looks really cool (blk)- constantly getting compliments and it has EVERY feature & then some. got great deal thru BJs auto website & dealer without much haggle within a few hundred of dealer invoice & dealer threw in bunch of xtras for taking off lot (bumper cover/rearview mirror dimmer/compass, cargonets, roof rubstrips, etc)
