I love my forester! - 2001 Subaru Forester
By cray - November 11 - 10:00 amI love my Forester. It has all the room I need for a family and a dog, but handles like a car not a truck. An SUV that is comfy and fits into "compact car" parking spaces! Plus, all the features that are options on the competition were standard on my Forester. A great value and a great vehicle for an SUV driver that doesnt like trucks!

I love my Subaru! - 2001 Subaru Forester
By dm Rochester, MN - June 30 - 10:33 pmThis is my first car and I am very impressed by the shape that is in after 120k miles. I bought it for the safety ratings and great winter handling. I am planning to drive it another 10 years. Thanks Subaru!

off-road wonder - 2001 Subaru Forester
By Compass Crissy - June 17 - 10:00 amAuto club knows me well from my early years of off-road exploring in inappropriate vehicles. Ive had all the SUVs and this one does it all without the huge fuel costs. Walks over snow covered roads, jeep trails and hiking trails. Yes, I did that, looking for a lost child. A forest rd in AZ went from good to gone and we made it without a problem. A rate this car Outback-Outstanding.

160K Trade In becomes my value buy - 2001 Subaru Forester
By Bob - April 21 - 6:13 amI observed this car in a driveway with a for sale sign. It was red and looked new. I was surprised when I found out it had 160,000 miles on it and had been left at a local dealer with blown head gaskets. The person selling it bought it from the dealer and had new head gaskets put in. I used to work on cars and I could tell it had been done. The car had a big sunroof and all wheel drive. At $4500 what could I lose? The car also had to have a new windshield put in to pass inspection. Since purchasing the car Ive driven it on two long distance drives of 1,000 miles round trip. The gas mileage is excellent and everything works great. The AC is outstanding. A bargain!

Best AWD Fuel Economy - 2001 Subaru Forester
By Steven - February 12 - 2:40 amI have had nothing but good luck with my 2001 Forester. I live in the Northeast and having a Subaru in the heart of the wintertime is what you need. The handling and performance along with the fuel economy makes the Forester my top pick over all the competition. I looked at the CRV and the RAV-4 and they did not even compare top the Forester. I highly recommend the Forester to anyone who wants a reliable vehicle along with the fuel economy.

Most Reliable Car I Have Owned! - 2001 Subaru Forester
By Kirk - January 22 - 2:36 pmI have owned my Forester for almost nine years and 90,500 miles. There have minimal maintenance issues, it is always reliable and gets respectable mileage on my way to work, about 25.5 mpg. This little SUV is very practical: the liberal hauling capacity is somewhat deceptive as I am frequently surprised over how much the cargo space holds. I have hauled some furniture items and building materials that other people were sure would never fit! We like this little SUV so much that we are considering buying a new Forester. Without a doubt, this has been the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned.
