Overview & Reviews
No changes for the ultrahip 2005 Scion xB, other than nationwide availability.
- Massive interior for its size, unusual mini-truck styling, long list of standard equipment, comes with standard stability control, handles well for a budget-priced vehicle.

This is our 2nd Scion - 2005 Scion XB
By Michelle - October 9 - 6:06 pmWe have a 2004 Scion xB, and we just bought our 2nd. I have the solar yellow limited edition 2.0 and it ROCKS. We are in our 40s so were not the target "audience" for the Scion but we love them. So do our kids. Our son seems to think when he turns 16 next year that one of the Scions is his. NOT! We love the reliability, gas mileage, and interior roominess. The car has great pickup for a compact, and the interior has as much as room - and more leg room in the back seat - as the Jeep Grand Cherokee we just traded in for the new yellow one!

My New Box - 2005 Scion XB
By mcp - September 23 - 10:00 amOK So the nice old English gentleman next door leaned over the fence and said, "Youll not be offended if I say it looks like a hearse??" My sons twentysomething friends, however, keep asking to try it out. And love it. Handles well, and drives even quieter than I hoped. I really like how open the cabin feels, the headroom, and how high above the road I ride. The fuel economy is great.

Over 100K Miles on My 2005 xB - 2005 Scion XB
By Over 100K Miles - July 9 - 6:33 pmI am very happy with my 2005 xB and would buy another. There have been no problems in over 100,000 miles. I hope the next 100k miles are as good.

The "Lunch Box" - 2005 Scion XB
By rhinoman - April 26 - 8:36 amWith a handle on top it would look just like a lunch box. I have driven it to work, (round trip 54 miles) and now have 36,500 miles on it. Averages about 33 mpg. It would be best in the urban runabout mode, but makes for a fine enough commuter. Took awhile to get used to the wheels out at the corners - ran onto a parked cars bumper and did $2K damage to the right side doors early on. Mine is an automatic and for the price theres little to complain about and lots to like.

for the value - 2005 Scion XB
By fmtmp - March 31 - 10:00 amThe most obvious characteristic of this car is the design. I have watched people gawking at it all over the place. When I tell them what I paid (14500, they are shocked assuming it was a 20K car. I still havent seen another one in my color (burgundy red) so the sense of uniqueness is lasting. Overall it is a great value, particularly in terms of the use of space and the less apparent features like stability control and traction control. Build quality is another asset. The car is not perfect, however, as Ill outline below but for the price and standard features, can one complain?

xB Review - 2005 Scion XB
By Halpal - March 21 - 8:30 pmThis car is lots of fun to drive, easy on fuel, and extremely roomy. I am over 6 feet tall and have plenty of leg room, and about 5-6 inches of headroom. Even with the seat adjusted rearward all the way, there is still plenty or legroom in the back seat. With the rear seats folded forward, the cargo room is plentiful. We love the car and we get lots of looks and good commenrts on the road.
