Overview & Reviews
In an effort to get buyers under 30 into its dealerships, Toyota launches an all-new division called Scion. The brand will eventually grow to three models, but for now two are offered, one of these a boxy, attention-getting vehicle called the xB. Scion will use a no-haggle sales strategy and give buyers ample opportunity to customize their xBs, drawing upon a list of over three dozen dealer-installed options.
- Massive interior for its size, unusual mini-truck styling, long list of standard equipment, comes with stability control, handles well for a budget-priced vehicle.

In a Nutshell - 2004 Scion XB
By Cubism - January 27 - 10:00 amThis unique looking vehicle is living up to, and surpassing the promotional advertising and sales pitches that I heard before I purchased it two weeks ago.The "Toyota" quality workmanship, and the interior design are both excellent values. The handling far exceeds my expectations, and boy! do I feel good stopped at a light next to a gas-guzzler SUV. YES, I care about the environment. This little fuel efficient cube fits my family of four to a T.

Fun-in-the-Box - 2004 Scion XB
By Cass-in-the-box - January 21 - 2:00 amIf you arent ready for stares and strangers questions, this isnt the car for you. If you are looking for a fun alternative to both the SUV and the traditional "commuter car", give the Scion XB a chance. The Scion take the best from both of the above types of cars; its small and gas-milage conscious, yet its still comfortable and has lots of cargo space so you arent confined to a solitary trunk to haul your junk. It has loads of headroom and personal space, so you dont feel as if youre in your passangers hip pocket. Add a lot of great standards (air, cd, power everything) and its a great deal. I really love my XB.

New Scion xB - 2004 Scion XB
By max&katy - January 15 - 2:00 amThe ride in this vehicle is exceptionally smooth. It has good pick- up speed and handles well around corners: really grips the road. They are accurate about the mileage, too. My first tank averaged 30 mpg, and that was with a week of city and highway driving. The interior is VERY roomy. Even when the front seats are all the way back, there is still plenty of leg room for the back seat passengers.

No longer impress with Toyota - 2004 Scion XB
By NoLongerImpress - January 5 - 10:00 amI brought the xB 8 months ago & I am getting rid of it. I am tired of seeing cars on my bumper, out of my rearview mirror, as I enter onto the highway. The engines Toyota put in their smaller cars are weak. I do believe the technology is out were they could get better gas mileage out of a larger (say 2 liter) engines. This car was in the shop 12 of the first 30 days I owned it. All wipers were replaced, the molding around the header was replaced and the back door has open 3 times while driving on the highway. The dealer was helpful (in a dealer way) but did not fix the door because they could not reproduce the problem. This is my first and last Toyota.

Scion, the new Geo - 2004 Scion XB
By ScionBuddy - December 9 - 2:00 amI had this car/van for 2 months and I already had the clutch go bad, it rattles and the power window died. I thought Toyota was suppost to be a quality car? I had a Saturn for 7 years and never had one problem other than were and tear related. I will probably sell this car right before the warrenty is up.
