This Year's Model Updates:

In an effort to get buyers under 30 into its dealerships, Toyota launches an all-new division called Scion. The brand will eventually grow to three models, but for now two are offered, one of these a boxy, attention-getting vehicle called the xB. Scion will use a no-haggle sales strategy and give buyers ample opportunity to customize their xBs, drawing upon a list of over three dozen dealer-installed options.

Pros:
  • Massive interior for its size, unusual mini-truck styling, long list of standard equipment, comes with stability control, handles well for a budget-priced vehicle.
Cons:

  • Love this box... - 2004 Scion XB

I absoluley love this box! A lot of my friends knock it, untill I let em drive it. For 108hp, it feels pretty peppy. I absolutley love driving it, the stereo sounds nice, and still lets you hear the engine, the automatic felt underpowered to me, so I bought the manual trans, and its been a great drive ever sence...

  • Lots of Room, Fun to drive - 2004 Scion XB

Im 64" and can comfortably sit and drive or sit directly behind someone my size. Has more room than anything I looked at and is at least $2K less. The interior room, standard equipement, gas mileage, and driveability makes this a great Cali commuter vehicle. Great for outings for my family of 4. Like someone else said, accels just as fast as my old F150, good enough!

  • best little big car this side of Japan - 2004 Scion XB

A fantastic car. Its a definite attention getter with double takes and lots of questions. It rides solid and tight around corners and curves. Toyota did not waste space with extraneous features. It is really spacious inside front and back with nothing wasted. It feels like youre in an SUV and then you get out and realize (again) its a compact wagon. Finally, this car is excellently priced with all the goodies as standard features. Its not a gas guzzler (31/35mpg) I only extended the warranty. Everything else you could want is already included (with playful type options if you want them). Bottom line--its a fun, cool, cute, practical car.

Just bought the Xb, I love the styling, the fuel economy, and its a ball to drive. I only have 50 miles on it so far but its been a fun 50 miles. Looking forward for future "hop-ups" to modify the vehicle.

  • Fun, Practical, and Good Milages - 2004 Scion XB
    By -

XB is my first new car. I love is so much in terms of its style, good milages, and fun to drive. For a regular small cars price, it has all the features I need, like ABS, Traction control, stability control, auto-lock, auto window, and AC. All my friends love to drive it around town! Its just fun to drive!

  • Car is great - Dealership is horrible - 2004 Scion XB

Love the car - drives great, looks great! Roomier than my big SUV - easier to drive, load and park. Turns plenty of heads too! Will be buying another one for my son - but from another dealership - unless they can pull it together real fast - before legal action.

  • Fun to Drive...Cool to look at - 2004 Scion XB

This is a fun vehicle.....very roomy all around....dressed up with the TRD mags and exhaust system with air induction...gives it a little umph. Handling is great....and with the TRD mags & tire option, you still get the OEM wheels/tires for winter driving...better traction/handling that the mags/Pirellis. Pretty much loaded and well under $20K. The xA is also a fun car to drive!

I purchased my xB in February, and have had nothing less than my greatest car experience with it. I traded in my 2002 Acura RSX and drove 400 miles to get it, but it was well worth it. I love my xB and would recommend it to anyone.. The 108 HP was a little scary for me after driving around my 140 HP Acura.. But the xB is peppy for only 108 HP, dont let anyone tell you that its slow.. I bought the manual transmission...

The car is very nimble and has suprisingly good pick-up for a V-4 and smaller liter size. The car has a great look and is eye pleasing. In fact the only problem other than outside noise when driving is everyone looking at you. That may not be a bad thing for some people. If you decide to put on 18 inch or 19 inch rims make sure you put on super tires. This can really cause a rough ride on bumpy roads or cause your rims to bend if tires are cheap. I recommend Pirellis and smooth roads.
