My Scion xB gets great mileage, is easy to drive, comfortable, has lots of space in the front, rear and midsection, handles great for a box on wheels, fun and gets lots of looks. The 5-speed manual is more spunky than the auto transmission.

If you want a fun, dependable, practical vehicle, with lots of PIZZAZ...this is it. Ive had my xB for one year and have driven it all over the country. It has more headroom and backseat legroom than any car on the market (Im 66")! The only thing I dont like is the only way to turn the dome light on is on the light itself, its a long reach. Otherwise, this is the best car Ive ever owned, and Ive owned 9 in my lifetime.

I am a 35 year old and I cant say enough about my new Scion Xb. Great styling, great features, great value, and unlike most cars you purchase and then just drive, after you purchase your Xb you will feel compelled to pimp it anyway you want with all the after market accessories available directly from Scion. Save a couple hundred dollars and get the European style taillights, save another couple hundred more and get the fog lamps. There are so many options to choose from and the listed price of each includes installation at the nearest Scion dealership. So, instead of watching MTVs Pimp My Ride, now you have an affordable and fun way of pimping your own. Best of all, my kids love it!

  • Meets or exceeds all expectations - 2005 Scion XB

I wanted a commuter car and got the xB. It had 20k on it when I bought it. Ive put 60k on it. Had a salvage title. It does everything I wanted it to and more. Im not too diligent about maintenance but its still rock-solid reliable. Spacious cabin room and very easy for the 3 kids to get in and out of. Not perfect, but just fine driving the occasional 200 mile trip to visit family. Consistently gets 30mpg *in town.* Here are some shortcomings to be aware of, although I dont hold them against the car AT ALL: weak on power; small cargo space in back; stock sound not very good; jeez, I really cant think of anything else. GREAT car. FYI, Im 65", 210lbs and fit just fine in it.

  • Excellent mileage and lots of leg room - 2005 Scion XB

small outside, HUGE INSIDE! Wanted best gas mileage with enough leg room. Insight 51mpg but only 2 seats, Prius 44 too small & long wait, VWs 41 & 32 but bad reps, Echo 38 too small, Civic hybrid 36 uncomfortable, Mazda3 33 & didnt try it (but I hear good things), xB 32 and LOTS of leg & head room, front & back! A great car for town & smooth roads. With 5spd & cold-air intake, acceleration is good. Euro version is the Yaris Verso. Pedestrians do double takes, people in parking lots feel compelled to walk around it, other cars tend to hang in blind spot for a long time—lots of fun to watch! Front seats comfortable except on road trips (built for narrow shoulders). Great style! fun to drive!

  • most fun to drive car ever I had 10 - 2005 Scion XB

I was looking to replace my suzuki vitara, I needed a car with better gas mileage but that still had the look of a suv, I looked at several cars and decided to get the xb because of gas mileage, price, standard options and my dealer paid me a good price for my trade and gave me good interest, that put me over the edge. But oh my the car really gets the looks all over the place, and I am hooked with customizing. I hope the toyota quality is as good as it used to be.

Loved the look of this car when we 1st started seeing it driving around our town in the summer of 04...My wife said it was Ugly and would never consider buying such a car. As the months went on and my old Honda Wagovan became more decepite(Ran great-the little things started going, like AC,Radio, ability to rool down drivers side window,ect...) Anyway she began researching ScionXBs and came around to sharing my opinion- especialy since all the reviews were so good...Well now after driving it around for 5 months she loves how it looks and handles and we have come to describe it as "Very European Looking"...

This is the best car I have ever owned. It is fun to drive, has lots of interior room for its size, gets great gas mileage and has a unique appearance. Even in the snow it handles very well. Unlike most small cars, the passengers sit high up, which allows better visibility.
