  • Loved everything except the noise - 2005 Scion XB

Got the car used, researched a long time for it. great values, have all safety features except side curtains. Easy to mod. Added sound deadening material to the hatch and doors, but the noise is just too much for me.

The first time that I laid my eyes on the Scion xB, I KNEW that I had to get one. With its unorthodox shape, for me, it was a sight to behold. Others may hate the "boxy" styling, but its roomy, gets great gas mileage, and IS fun to drive. I know its target audience is the younger crowd, but Ive noticed a lot of mature folks driving xBs (including me). That says a lot!

  • Pebbles in a can - 2005 Scion XB

Between the discomfort of the pint-sized seats of the Scion xB and the feel of every grain of sand on the road, this vehicle is totally a pain to drive on long trips. By the time my family and I reach a destination of more than 100 mles, after being shaken like pebbles in a can, with tail bones and legs aching from the seating and the jarring of every slight bump in the road, no amount of good gas mileage can compensate for our discomfort and regret for buying this vehicle.

  • I love my Toaster - 2005 Scion XB

This car is quite roomy and I like the visibility I get with all the windows. Its very fuel efficient and reliable and the price was excellent. This is the first time I could afford a *new* car. Ive only ever had used cars before.

  • Great Little Car - 2005 Scion XB

This car runs well, handles well, and is a gas saver. My only complaint, thus far, is that the Japanese must have designed, built and tested this car indoors with overhead lighting as the sun visors are far too short to be of any use. The visors cannot be adjusted and that is a problem in the bright sunlight as the windows are large and the visors are tiny, way out of scale. Its as if a 65" man was wearing the slacks of a 5 man, get the picture? Otherwise, its a good car.

  • xB nice style, poor quality - 2005 Scion XB

This is no Toyota. The Scion xB is a cool looking car, with good fuel consumption, but it ends there. It has no pickup! Dont try to get on the highway with the air conditioning on. My trunk latch came off when I was only trying to open it. I mean - it came off in my hand. Now the car wont lock. I have less than 14,000 miles and now I am stuck paying the bill on a manufacturing defect. Scion can refuse any repairs based on nothing other than their word. This car seems to be constructed entirely of plastic - CHEAP PLASTIC. Granted, it is roomy and cool looking, but looks can be deceiving. Its ride is too bumpy as well.

The Scion Xb is one of the best vehicles in the 15K price range.Just getting out of college it is affordable yet really fun to drive. The purchase had no haggles which was a plus. Living in a mountainous area of New York, the gas mileage has been around 32-36 miles per gallon. The xB is roomier than most SUVs that my family owns. The interior is driver friendly simple and clean. The fit to finish is impressive for a vehicle in this price range. The head and leg room in the xB is huge making it a comfortable vehicle for anyone.I didnt consider the automatic transmission in this vehicle. The manual has quick easy shifting and the engine has plenty of power to move the xB in all driving conditions.
