Overview & Reviews
In an effort to get buyers under 30 into its dealerships, Toyota launches an all-new division called Scion. The brand will eventually grow to three models, but for now two are offered, one of these a boxy, attention-getting vehicle called the xB. Scion will use a no-haggle sales strategy and give buyers ample opportunity to customize their xBs, drawing upon a list of over three dozen dealer-installed options.
- Massive interior for its size, unusual mini-truck styling, long list of standard equipment, comes with stability control, handles well for a budget-priced vehicle.

X marks the spot - 2004 Scion XB
By thefoth - November 3 - 10:00 amWith over 3000 miles logged its time to say my part. In trying to figure out what I should buy as my first car I read countless reviews. At first I dismissed the Scion because it was only available in California, but once hooked on it I didnt stop until I owned one. I read every article and review I could find, and from personal experience Id say it has come through with everything it was said to be and more. From the no pressure sales and extremely nice dealer experience to all the enjoyment Ive gotten out of this extremely versatile car. I am beginning to modify it and personalize it and feel that it will make an awesome cruiser.

Fun To Drive - 2004 Scion XB
By funfamily - October 17 - 10:00 amMy husband and I were actually out looking for minivans when the Scion caught his eye. Initially, I thought "No way!" but as soon as I sat in it and test drove it, the decision was made. This is a great second car for us. The kids love to drive in it and now never want to get into Daddys Avalon. There is tons of room, even with 2 car seats in the back and the visibility is awesome. The car feels so big when you are driving it, that I sometimes forget what I am driving until I see the stares from the people around me. Everywhere we go people comment on what a neat car we have. We love it!

Poor A/C on an otherwise brilliant car - 2004 Scion XB
By basiegal - September 21 - 10:00 amWe made an special effort to find, buy and ship this car back to Dallas after my wife test drove on in Santa Rosa. At the test drive my wife reported the A/C seemed weak. On delivery we found the A/C marginal at over 100F. Taken to the local Toyota dealer found the air mix control off but this did little to fix overall performance. Appears the is the first of a new system of not compressor clutch. Its a shame the system is underpowered as the rest of the car is like nothing else on the market.
