The XB is the best car I have ever purchased. My XB handles like a small car and turns on a dime. The boxy build of the XB does not interfer with the aerodynamics of the handling and ride of the XB. The space inside of the XB beyond belief. I have to be careful not to let too many people know that I have a lot of room in my wagon. My XB is not the local moving van.

Because the car is so light and low to the ground, it is a joy to drive around in, with great handling and performance characteristics. Its very agile and quick, and easily can cruise at 80 mph. All this, and the gas mileage is unbeatable at around 32 mpg! Its great for transporting things, though I miss a decent roof rack (the Yakima rack has very light load limits). Its not an SUV replacement, but it has other qualities that outweigh the disadvantages, like the great gas mileage.

  • Unbelievable Buy for the Money - 2005 Scion XB

There is a reason this thing gets such great reviews. Everyone says the same thing...it gets excellent mileage, has good leg room, nice style, etc. I have only had my xB for a month and am confident that it has been my best purchase ever. It was super easy to wave goodbye to the horrible VW I had and I drove away smiling. It is unbelievable how much you get for the money. Traction control is standard plus all of the options that everyone else is mentioning. I love my Scion.

  • Great, Fun Car for the Price - 2005 Scion XB

I test drove all of the current compact vehicles in 2005, and this was by far the best value, the most fun, best looking and by far the roomiest. We drive it exclusively around town with our 3 kids. We even took it on an overnight trip with the kids--had plenty of room for a large suitcase, overnight bag, small cooler and the kids DVD players. It handles well in Iowa winters with its traction control. We were lucky to snag one only a few months old, and its still worth close to what we paid for it 2 1/2 years ago. Love it!

I tell you for the price of what you get, you just cant beat the over all value of the Scion xB.

The first time I saw this strange little vehicle, I thought "No way I would be caught driving that!" Well, after three more trips to the dealership to poke around and satify my curiosity, my fiancee suggested that I take a test drive...that did it. I took my box home the same day. Boy howdy do I love this car! Comfortable, surprisingly roomy, Toyota quality, good gas mileage, fun to drive...the list goes on and on. It looks really cool too. Toyota definitely got it right, although you cant consider me a generation xer at 51.

  • Me and My xB - 2005 Scion XB

Was totally blown away when I first sat in the xB. I was suprised how much room the inside had. I am 61", 300 lbs and I fit comfortably behind the wheel. My drivers seat was push all they way back and I climbed in the back seat and I was suprised that I still had five to six inches between my knees and the back of the front seat. I test drove the automatic transmission and was suprised at the pep the car had. The styling is nice and it stands out. Its a throw back to the old milk/mail truck design. My wife, friends and co-workers love it. I am having a ball in little xB. Oh... by the way I am 33 years old and married, so I do not fit the targeted marketing demographic for the car.

With the gas prices on the rise, I quickly got tired of spending so much $$ on gas.. As I was researching used cars with good gas economy, I had found 2 cars that I liked. After doing more research on the Xb and finding out this model was first sold in Japan in 2000, it became a popular car. Saw all the great reviews and finally went for the plunge. The unorthodox design of the car reminds me of the compacts you would normally see in Japan. I test drove both auto and manual and was surprised that this compact had decent power. The manual transmission which has a high gear ratio which helps tremendously for acceleration. I ended up picking up a nice used one from a local Toyota dealer.

I love my Scion xB. I am a mom and this vehicle gets me where we need to go safely. It is great on gas which is especially nice with the cost these days.

The High Price of Gas, made us look at this vehicle, and due to the lack of availablitiy of this vehicle. We were not the only 30 y.o. + looking at this XB. Solar Yellow, will take some getting used to. Though high finishing quality, fun to drive factor and low gas mileage makes this car a great car. Detroit, Stuttgart time to catch up. Oh and by the way can hold an Irish Wolfhound with one seat down with no problem. More HP may be wanted! and Side airbags but apart from that no complaints oh and did I say all this for 16K. Ha!
