For the price, this is an outstanding car.

I love my xB. It is the perfect color and drives like a dream. I am always being stopped and asked what it is and how many miles per gallon it gets. I wish I could have 5 of them.

Love it or hate it exterior design; incredibly roomy interior for passengers; lots of technology for the price; short length on the outside makes it very easy to park; rather stiff, harsh, and bouncy ride; short on interior storage spaces for small items; fun to drive with sporty feel and very good visibility; lacks side curtain airbags; excellent gas mileage; easy for passengers to enter and exit vehicle. I want to see it with side curtain airbags and a hybrid engine in the next couple of years, then Ill trade my 2005 for a new one. As it stands, very good value for the money.

I have had my XB for almost 3 months, I have already put on 3500 miles, avg 31.5 to 34.0 mpg. The car is great for hauling commuting, and have had no problems everyone that rides in it is amazed with all the room they have. Other than taking the XB for an oil change no other maintence has been needed.

The Scion xB is a great vehicle. It is so easy to get into and out of, its just the right height for old stiff guys! It is peppy enough and fun to drive. The interior space is wonderful. Its traction control and anti-lock brakes are great in the snow. Plus it has great dependability.

  • 2005 Xb with Webasto Sunroof - 2005 Scion XB

I bought my Thundercloud Xb with 17" Saachi chrome alloys, and (custom installed) Webasto Grandview Sunroof. Just about everything youd want is standard like ABS, AC, CD player, and traction control. Ive already put 200 miles on it, and I love it. The ride is smooth, and the five speed trans has more power than the automatic that I drove at the dealer. I catch alot of stares from Honda Civic drivers for some reason. I dont race around in it, but I cruise. I would recommend the Scion to any of my friends. The best part about my experience so far is probably the gas mileage. Ive driven it for 200 miles so far on half tank of gas.

  • Scion xB - Needs a Diesel Engine - 2005 Scion XB

The 2005 Scion xB is fun to drive, has nice acceleration, a great view, loads of head room, and handles well with a front strut tower brace. Mine has Denso 0.4 mm iridium plugs and a K&N million mile air filter (not a CAI). I have used Mobil 1 in it from Day 1. I also added a hood wind deflector. Dont buy in-channel window air deflectors..they dont fit correctly causing the windows to not completely close. I got front and rear seatcovers for mine from seatcovers.net, and a Scion center armrest through eBay. I like the sound of the original sound system.

  • THE BEST darn car i ever owned - 2005 Scion XB

This this is perfect for both young and old. I say old because the doors are so big and the car sits so low its very easy to get in and out.

Its a great car - excellent value. Lots of room for the size. Lots of leg room in the back seat even with the front seats all the way back, and with the back seats folded down, I can carry most things I need. The standard options are great - nice sound system. I added XM radio, and I like the fact that its integrated into the existing system. I get an average of 30 mi/gal, but my travel is mostly in the city. Its a Toyota, so I know it will be reliable.
