Borrowing components from GM's European Opel division, the Saturn Vue is completely redesigned for 2008. Highlights include a much-improved cabin, an available 257-horsepower V6 and improved handling and ride dynamics.

Pros:
  • Powerful V6 in XR and Red Line trims, handsome interior and exterior European styling, ideal handling and ride balance, plenty of standard safety features.
Cons:
  • Less cargo capacity than most rivals, front seats not ideal for some larger folks.

The Saturn Vue is my first SUV and after driving compact cars previously, Ill never go back! Sure, Ill miss the gas mileage that my old car had, but the Vue has more to offer: comfort, confidence on the highway, open space for vacation traveling, and not to mention it looks good on the road. Actually, it looks great on the road and in the driveway.

  • Near Luxury and Unbelievable Value - 2008 Saturn VUE

Like everyone else we were hit by the gas crunch so I downsized from by 8 cyl Cadillac SRX which I absolutely loved so we could get one fuel efficient vehicle for our family. Checked out the usual: Acord (noisy and did not like interior), Camry (noisy and horrible handling), Malibu (surprisingly better than expected but still did not do it for me), VW - Jetta came close but too small and Passat too expensive for a VW, plus a whole lot more. Finally found myself in a Saturn dealer and was blown away with the VUE - near luxury drive, German engineering and design in and out, quality materials, handles well and 4 cyl.economy - no it is not a luxury car but comes darn close for the price!

Just emerging from a hard Minnesota winter with temps at 22 below zero and a good amount of snow. Have had no problems at all with this car, none, zero, nada. Love the way it drives and love the pick-up thats nice for city driving, plenty of power.

I have had my VUE since June 7, 2008. I love it! I had an incident with my AC button that was fixed by my dealership. I also was involved with the recent recall. It was also fixed and had my oil changed at the same time. I really do love my VUE, highly recommend it, and have been stopped numerous times in parking lots to answer questions about it. I have no regrets, especially since I got in on the zero down and 0% interest Im really only paying cash for this car. I also love the OnStar and XM radio that came with it. Did I mention that I love my VUE?

  • A new VUE - 2008 Saturn VUE

I went to the dealer expecting to buy a 2007 hybrid VUE. The hybrid had electrical problems so I tried on an 08 base VUE for size. The 08 had a superior ride to not only the 07 but every other small SUV I had tried. I bought a 4 cyl so the performance is sluggish but it still has get up and go when you really need it. Steering and agility is great for a vehicle of its size. Most of all its styling seems to be a decade ahead of the 07. The gas mileage could be better but keep in mind that its 08 EPA numbers wont look so bad when we see all the other SUV 08 numbers. All in all the 2008 VUE is very nice ride for an SUV.

  • Nothing I dont like about my Vue! - 2008 Saturn VUE

I love the way my Vue handles and it holds the road in the rain very well. I bought the base priced Vue (which was a good value) and didnt need to look for one with option packages because it had everything I really wanted as standard already. It has great style, better looking than the Honda CRV. The air conditioner works extremely well and fast. I live in a very hot climate! Friends and family say backseat is very comfortable and roomy. GM and Saturn did an outstanding job with this one!

  • Happiest I have ever been with a new car - 2008 Saturn VUE

I love my Vue Red Line. Previously I had been driving an Eclipse, and had just accepted that winter driving had to be miserable. The Vue handles very well in the snow, and with the XM and heated seats, bad weather is no longer a nightmare.

Wife and I were looking for a Rav-4 or a CRV, Pilot, or the like. Like a white vehicle, Sort of had this color in mind. Were out looking with no luck! Happened to drive by and noticed several white Saturns in the yard. We drove in and immediately were smitten with this v6 awd Vue. Very, Very impressed with the performance, initial quality, all of the little things. My wife has a nervous condition, usually she gets flushed and mildly upset through the buying process. This was the most enjoyable, car-buying experience, I have, or my wife either, have ever had. Extremely pleased with the vehicle and the experience!

  • Extremely disappointed - 2008 Saturn VUE

This VUE was my third - and sadly my last - Saturn purchase. This brand new vehicle was in the shop 4 times in 6 months: tachometer went out, CD player quit working, car would not start at all ("bad alternator"), and "cluster failure" w/no tachometer, odometer, turn signals, etc. I recently sold this VUE after it was repaired last as it was no longer a reliable vehicle. I have never had this many problems w/any vehicle Ive owned, especially a new one. I do not recommend a VUE to anyone unfortunately.

  • GM & Saturn got this one right! - 2008 Saturn VUE

Ill admit that the Saturn Vue wasnt on the top of my short list of potential new cars. But after test driving top choices - the RAV4 and CR4 - neither one impressed me - I decided to take a Vue for a spin. The interior fit and finish are much more refined than the RAV4 and CRV. I like the handling and suspension more on the Saturn as well. Price was also lower on the Saturn and had more standard features. So for interior and exterior styling, great XM radio and interior looks, and a better price, I decided on the Saturn. No problems with the car at all! Runs great, looks great, handles well, and is really fun to drive.
