Overview & Reviews
Saturn has upgraded the Ion with new fabrics, improved plastics and a new radio with MP3 and satellite radio capability. The electric steering has been revised for improved feel at highway speeds, while the sedan's five-speed automatic and the coupe's CVT have been recalibrated for improved gear selection and response. Finally, Saturn has installed additional sound-deadening material to reduce cabin noise. A Special Edition version of the sedan provides black exterior paint, distinctive 16-inch wheels and a two-tone interior.

Saturn ION 1 - 2004 Saturn ION
By pivo - November 4 - 2:00 amThis car has alot of pep. It handles surprisingly well on wet roads, and so far has gone great on a small amount of snow. I drive this car about five hours a day on my courier job, and have experienced only a little fatigue from the so-called "flat" seats. The buying experience at the dealer was refreshing. I can honestly say that I not only love driving my Saturn, but also love to look at it. It looks very modern and fresh, especially in the silver nickel color. For a cheap, economical car, I think its a great deal.

Decent Car - 2004 Saturn ION
By Jeffrey Harvey - November 4 - 2:00 amWe looked around at a number of dealerships before going to Saturn. From the moment we walked in the door we were impressed with the Ion. For the price, we found the Ion to be more stylish than the Ford Focus, Kia or Mazda vehicles we looked at.

4 x Saturn Buyer - 2004 Saturn ION
By dialof - November 4 - 2:00 amI love owning a Saturn and this is my 4th. I went from leasing a 2001 L200 to buying a fully loaded 2004 ION3 (leather, sunroof, 6-CD changer, alloy wheels, etc). Got a great deal with NO HAGGLE and no game playing. The ride is great, fast and tight. Driving 60mph feels like 30mph (its so fast it can get away from you). Great mileage- 32/27. Its a keeper. :o)

Saturn ion - 2004 Saturn ION
By dvswift - September 22 - 2:00 amThe new ion is not only has a cute exterior, but the interior design is very driver friendly. The car performs well and "feels" safe when you are driving. After driving Fords for the past 10 years, this is a very nice change.

Love my new Ion - 2004 Saturn ION
By Barbara Orishak - September 12 - 10:00 amGreat handling, economy priced, I moved down from a full size car and I am not disappointed in the Saturn. Dealership was wonderful and continues to be helpful with questions. Handling is easy and fun to drive. Enough bells and whistles to feel like a more expensive car.

2004 Saturn Ion Redline - 2004 Saturn ION
By Wrecked Redline - September 9 - 5:16 amI was recently a proud owner of a 2004 Saturn Ion Redline. I lost this amazing car to a T-Boning. This car is a blast to drive. With a 205hp supercharged LSJ, this car got up and went. The transmission was excellent with very solid shift points. The interior was a little bizarre but it had a very good feel. It was ergonomic and comfortable. The steering was awesome and precise but with all front wheel drive cars, you have torque steer, and this car had some torque. This car gets between 23 and 27 miles per gallon, so not the best for a four banger, but again this car is supercharged and I gunned it a lot.Again this car is a blast to drive, Im proud to of owned this car.

First Impressions - 2004 Saturn ION
By Deviant Gerbil - June 29 - 2:00 amJust purchased an 04 Ion 3 Special Edition Package. Very plush interior and amenities for under 20K. I actually traded in an 02 Subaru Impreza WRX (Expired Warranty, EXCESSIVE Ins. Premium) and will save $1800 in insurance a year. ...Anyway, about the Ion. Positive dealership experience and "Damn near give em away incentives" (GM Supplier Discount - $900 off of MSRP, $1500 Down Payment Assistance, and 0% financing) were exceptional incentives. Exceptional options on our Ion included a power sunroof, SHARP Tan & Black interior, Unique 16" Alloy Wheels (Replacing STD/OPT Wheels), and Anti- Lock Brakes w/ Traction Control.
