Overview & Reviews
After 12 long years in production, Saturn is finally retiring its aging S-Series sedan and coupe in favor of the all-new Saturn Ion sedan and innovative quad coupe.
- Innovative rear-access doors on coupe, customer-focused dealers, numerous personalization options, great cargo capacity.
- Build quality not up to segment standards, unusual styling, lack of established service and repair history.

Awesome - 2003 Saturn ION
By SaturnFan21 - August 6 - 10:00 amThis car is completely awesome and more than a match for the others out there. I drag race on an 1/8th mile strip and have beaten a 2002 Toyota Celica GT and a number of Honda Civic EXs. Completely underrated and bashed by car mags, this Ion is amazing.

2003 ION - 2003 Saturn ION
By Nerissa - August 6 - 10:00 amI just purchased my ION Sedan, previously I owned a 2001 VW Jetta. The ION does not have the performance of the Jetta, but in terms of interior room and comfort it wins hands down. I love my ION!

By oleytwo - July 6 - 2:00 amDrive a lot 40-50K a year. So far best value out there. Its not a Lexus, but for the money its hard to beat. 2500 miles avg. 30MPG, fair amount of room, 0%, good power, rides good, beat it.

Will drive it until it dies! - 2003 Saturn ION
By RatPack25 - July 4 - 4:00 pmPicked up my Ion new in 03. Car was well priced for what I got (sunroof, auto trans, etc.) Is good gas mileage car, and has enough pep to keep up in city traffic. 3 problems Ive had: hood release cable snapped twice, sunroof cover got jammed (was replaced), and drivers side window has trouble going up and down when its cold (have to hit the door a couple times to make it work). Otherwise, this car has given me no mechanical problems, and has been a very reliable daily driver. I plan on driving it until it dies, or becomes too costly to repair.

My Third Saturn - 2003 Saturn ION
By cjf - June 25 - 10:00 amI have had 3 Saturns in 8 years. My experience with these cars have been excellent. The milage has been very good and I have never had any kind of problem mechanical or otherwise with them. My experience buying them has been a pleasure no hassle of any kind no pressure salesmanship. I love my new ION 3 it is roomy, has all the bells and whistles and my in city gas mileage is 26 miles to the gallon on the road it is 38-39. It is also the only car that can be called American.

Saturn ION 2 - 2003 Saturn ION
By jshel - April 6 - 10:00 amI found the ION a very fun care to drive. I love the handling and the power is sufficient for this class. I was looking at the ION or the Civic. I found the Civic interior very boring compared to the ION. I am very happy with this car.

Worth the Price - 2003 Saturn ION
By Heather - March 31 - 10:56 amI bought this car as a sixteen year-old, hoping to get it paid off by graduation(which I did) It was affordable and it was a great car to spend my first years of driving with. Even with a standard engine, it accelerated very fast, and the standard sound system is incredible. Its reliable and affordable.
