Overview & Reviews
After 12 long years in production, Saturn is finally retiring its aging S-Series sedan and coupe in favor of the all-new Saturn Ion sedan and innovative quad coupe.
- Innovative rear-access doors on coupe, customer-focused dealers, numerous personalization options, great cargo capacity.
- Build quality not up to segment standards, unusual styling, lack of established service and repair history.

Love my Ion! Has 225k miles on it and still running strong! - 2003 Saturn ION
By rcameron5 - July 29 - 10:27 amI love my Ion. It is a very trust worthy car. I bought it used and it had 205K miles on it and it now has 225K miles and it is still running strong. The air is ice cold, it runs great. Always gets me where I need to be! The only thing that has been wrong with it. If the wheel isnt just straightly perfect it wont go to the off on the ignition. It will only go to accessories. I just stick my finger up this hole and press this button and it goes to off and right out. Easy fix! But, it is stylish for the year and runs good. I love my Ion!! I cant wait to see how long it will last me!

Reviewers have heads in dark places - 2003 Saturn ION
By Frank Farkle - July 26 - 10:00 amHave a FULLY loaded ION 3/5M and I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH A VEHICLE! Puke on Edmunds and Consumer Reports bogus reviews. Whatre they smoking? The ION 3 is the best in class for the money, bar none! It holds a 45 mph corner, at 75 mph, without blinking. The leather seats are excellent. Bought for mileage and drivability - NOT racing off the line. Top-end optional sound system is exceptional. Interior egronomics, fit and finish, are quite nice - electronics - state of the art. $20K vehicle that has a tighter turning radius than Audis A4.

Great buy for the price... - 2003 Saturn ION
By avariel - June 18 - 2:00 amWhy does everyone hate this car? I just got mine about a month ago and I love it! I didnt have a lot of money so when it came to replace my old car my options were limited. I looked at all the new & used cars I could find. One day I went by the local Saturn place & saw the new ION & went in for a test drive & felt that it was the right car for me. I ended up with my ION 2 (decided to splurge for more options) So far its great and this from a former honda owner. Is the ION perfect? Not by a long shot but no car is. Besides for those of us who cant afford all the flashy cars out there the ION offers a reliable option for a great price.

Saturn Runs Rings! - 2003 Saturn ION
By puppytrek - June 18 - 2:00 amBought the Saturn Ion-2 on March 15 and it rocks! Nimble handling with the electric-assist power steering and the middle instrument panel is a dream! This rides so smooth compared to what I drove before. America can still produce a wonderful vehicle without the $35K price tag. I would buy another today if I had more room to put it!
