Overview & Reviews
Saturn has upgraded the Ion with new fabrics, improved plastics and a new radio with MP3 and satellite radio capability. The electric steering has been revised for improved feel at highway speeds, while the sedan's five-speed automatic and the coupe's CVT have been recalibrated for improved gear selection and response. Finally, Saturn has installed additional sound-deadening material to reduce cabin noise. A Special Edition version of the sedan provides black exterior paint, distinctive 16-inch wheels and a two-tone interior.

Good Buy and Fun Car - 2004 Saturn ION
By Raider-Alan - June 19 - 10:00 amI traded in my PT Cruiser for my Saturn Ion 3 with a 5-speed manual. Few cars can rival a PT in design innovation, but this comes close and in some ways it eclipses the PT. I love the center mounted instrument panel. I also like the design of the dash and seats. The shifting is smooth and crisp, and the ride is solid. Road noise is no louder than the PT Cruiser. I love the overall design of the car.

A Great Car - 2004 Saturn ION
By KimmieLynne - May 18 - 2:00 amI bought the Bright Blue 2004 quad coupe 2 after extensive shopping and the fact of the matter is that after test driving the Corolla, Neon SXT and about a million other cars, this is the one that stood out. Its fun to drive, sporty looking, safe, gets a lot of attention out on the road and best of all didnt cost an arm and a leg to get one that is well equipt. The buying experience was great too, no pressure or arguing and straight forward sales people.

By Ion Den - March 21 - 10:00 amI purchased my Ion July 13, 2004 and have logged 12,000 miles to date (10-9- 04). On a recent trip to PA, I managed to get 35mpg wich is above the 32 rating, which made me very happy. I havent had any problems as of yet with the car and am more than pleased with my purchase.

By grantboucher - February 12 - 4:23 amI like the plastic body no dent panels. This car looks brand new after 50,000 miles. Underated vehicle that offers good value for the dollar. This is my second Saturn with a very positive experience both times. Wake up America, buy American

Pleasant Surprise - 2004 Saturn ION
By Saturner1 - December 7 - 8:46 pmNever would I have expected to buy a Saturn. But I liked the looks when the car came out. Still, it was sort of unexciting. When the Redline came out the excitement was added and I purchased one. It had been a few years since I drove stick, but this one is so easy and smooth that it came back right away. Excellent seats (Recaro), great wheels, nice styling. Unique enough to draw stares, fast enough to surprise most and economical to drive and own. A very pleasant surprise.
