This Year's Model Updates:

Saab debuts the high-performance 9-5 Aero Sedan and Wagon with 230 horsepower. Entry-level sedans and wagons sport new 16-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels, and all SE versions offer a turbo V6 and auto-dimming rearview mirror. The 9-5 Wagon Gary Fisher Edition offers a sportier exterior design and a Saab Limited Edition Gary Fisher mountain bike. A sunroof and traction-control system (TCS) have been added to the standard equipment list.

Pros:
  • Satisfying performance, impressive luxury, reasonable price, wagon availability.
Cons:
  • Quirky Saab design attributes and ergonomics, uninspired exterior styling.

  • The biggest [non-permissible content removed] I have had the misfortune to own - 2000 Saab 9-5

By far and away the most useless piece of junk I have ever owned. Bought it used with 140,000. Since then (within two years) I have replaced: The radiator, water pump (twice) fuel pump, transmission, countless dash bulbs, brake and headlight bulbs, sub woofer, drivers mirror, drivers sun visor, seat fans, two window motors, hatch struts to hold the hatch open- I use that so often that it is no wonder they broke!.As i write this the oil is leaking, the brake light failure keeps coming on, the hot box no longer works, the sun roof leaks. If anyone should think that this is a good car be forewarned. They are junk. Buy Japanese, buy German even by a Yugo you will appreciate the reliability

I bought this saab with 107k on it. This car is by far the worst car i have ever owned and ive owned a acura tsx, jeep, and chrysler crossfire. First week i bought the throttle body went bad and had to be replaced. A month later it was leaking oil, and i had to replace the crank seal. now 5 months later the car is leaking oil, the muffler is falling out from under the car, windsheild wiper motor went bad, car idles hard, and has no pick up what so ever. needs about 3k to fix. YEAH RIGHT! This car is an absolute piece of garbage never ever buy saab!
