Overview & Reviews
The Xterra has been fully redesigned for 2005 with a new platform, a more powerful V6 and a more spacious interior.
- One of the most powerful V6s in the class, above average off-road capability, solid passenger room, innovative cargo features.
- Still not what we would call refined on the street, a few instances of low-grade interior materials.

Everything you need, nothing you dont. - 2005 Nissan Xterra
By ZtotheX - September 4 - 5:13 pmGet up and go. Anywhere. My wife had an 04 and the differences are tremendous. 4x4 is flawless in the snow. Gas mileage is around 20 mpg. Lots of storage compartments and lots of cup holders are a plus.

Absolutely Love It - 2005 Nissan Xterra
By Luke - June 17 - 2:33 pmWe just bought the new Xterra this weekend and absolutely love it. It rides great, has a ton of power, the interior is well designed and comfortable and it is priced great compared to other SUVs. I would highly reccomend it to anyone. It is really catered to the active lifestyle.

Fast, Quiet, Functional, and Tough! - 2005 Nissan Xterra
By Pete Dant - April 28 - 3:46 pmAmazing vehicle for the money. I traded a 2003 V8 Silverado for this more sensible vehicle. The turning radius is amazing, U-turns are no problem, parking is easy. Silent interior, yet firm suspension for taking turns. Effortless acceleration, plenty of power with instant throtle response. The Xterra looks tough, and stands out from the crowded SUV market. You can smack the dealers around all day and the deals keep coming, so be firm and ask them to add dealer accessories at no charge like step bars, hitch, etc.

Awesome Vehicle - 2005 Nissan Xterra
By Sean - March 9 - 8:50 pmI looked at last years and this years. What an improvement. Plenty of power, smart features. Basically like the Pathfinder, just a little shorter. I totally recommend it! I only have about 100 miles on it, but I love it already. Its a Nissan, so the engine should be reliable. AWESOME is all I can say.

Very happy with the Exterra - 2005 Nissan Xterra
By Richard Gillis - March 2 - 2:26 amFun to drive, good performance, extremely reliable, excellent service from dealer, gas mileage a little disappointing but would not trade it for performance. At this point I feel this vehicle will be with us a long time. I am anxious to see how it will hold up. My wife loves the styling and looks. I like it too. We purchased it for her. I have my own vehicle. I enjoy driving it because it has very responsive steering and acceleration. The engine has a good sound to it under acceleration. I would enjoy a stronger engine such as offered in the new one.

Xterra to the nth Power - 2005 Nissan Xterra
By NewXterraFan - February 21 - 3:33 amIve been looking for an SUV that looks good and fun to drive and Ive found it in the 2005 Xterra. This SUV is awesome with its new upgraded engine, interior, exterior, and a whole lot more. Ive been driving this SUV under both street and offroad conditions for the past month and all I have to say is, WOW!!! Its 265HP-V6 has got to be the best upgrade Nissan has given the Xterra. The difference in handling and performance between the 2005 and 2004 model is night and day, not to mention the roominess of the interior compartment!!! If you are looking for a reasonably priced SUV that has everything youll ever need, you cant go wrong with the 2005 Xterra!! One word - AWESOME!!

I love it! - 2005 Nissan Xterra
By music77057 - January 16 - 7:16 amSo far Ive only had my new truck 4 days and I LOVE IT! I love the space, the ride and all the feature it has and more than I expected. I really recommend this vehicle if anyone is looking into buying one. So far the gas mileage is good, as I expected with a truck and not like a car but I still love it.
