Overview & Reviews
The 2008 Nissan Xterra gets only a few trim upgrades this year. Mechanically, the truck remains unchanged. X models now get standard power features, remote keyless entry and cruise control. There's also a new Technology Package featuring Bluetooth, XM Satellite Radio pre-wiring (automatic-transmission models only), an auto-dimming rearview mirror and an upgraded Rockford Fosgate audio system.
- Excellent off-road capabilities, powerful V6, thoughtful cargo-area features.
- Low-quality interior plastics, soft brake pedal.

Xterra "two thumbs up" - 2008 Nissan Xterra
By Xterra - June 28 - 11:40 amIve only owned this vehicle for about a month, but it didnt take long to realize this is a great vehicle. Test drove jeep grands, and 4 runners. Ive have always driven Toyotas in the past, but theyre too expensive. My advice is save your money and get the xterra, "everything you need and nothing you dont" pretty much sums it up, theyre not fancy but they get the job done.

Just Okay - 2008 Nissan Xterra
By RKW - November 22 - 10:10 amSUV is pretty much what you see is what you get. It is a truck with an SUV body. Wasnt long until I noticed a roaring noise when slowing down. It actually causes the entire vehicle to vibrate. There is also a whining noise between 45 and 50 mph.Sometimes the shifting is very loose and makes a clanking noise. I plan to address these problems on my next scheduled visit. The gas mileage is a little better than advertised. The ride is so so. The center armrest is too far back.
