Overall, this is THE BEST truck I have ever owned! Absolutely NO mechanical issues AT since new. About the only thing I wish were different are the Front seats, they have no lumbar support. and the addition of a footrest would have been great. Other than that, this is a great truck. I particularly like the styling over the newer nismos as well. Its just better! Oh, one last item, the brakes are good, but easily could have been much better, when are the manufactures gonna get wise about slapping some bremboson their sport trucks! WHEN!!..Id easily pay the difference. I am not easy on my vehicles but this one has really done a great job. Break in your engine and change the oil often!

Get one loaded with all the features, you wont be dissapointed. I owned a Jeep Cherokee before this - what a pile of crap that was! The Nissan Super Charged Crew Cab Long Box is awesome! I added only the Nissan Bugshield (looks great) and a trailer hitch. I also tossed the cheap plastic bedliner and got Line-X spray-in bedliner instead. Its alot better & quiet! On top of the bed is a Jackrabbit retractable cover - it goes great with the Nissan rails! Maybe later Ill addbigger tires. A great truck - youll love it.

I just got my v6 Desert Runner from a dealer. It was used, but this truck runs great! The v6 isnt as strong as its competition, Toyota Tacoma Prerunner v6, but it still packs a pretty good punch. For its size, the acceleration is pretty good. The ride is smoother than I thought. Overall, this is a very good vehicle. I recomend looking into one if you are searching for midsize trucks.

The truck drives great the only issue is the gas mileage but that is only becuase I was used to driving a 4 cylinder and this is a V6. Handles wonderful in snow, and rain. Looks nice and I love that we bought it.

  • 2002 Nissan Frontier Saved my Life - 2002 Nissan Frontier

This truck has been a delight to drive. In only 4 short months, I grew to LOVE it and the ability it provided to haul things around. However, last weekend, I ran off the road in the rain and crashed head-on into a large tree. My truck gave its life for me! The police officer said I probably would have been killed, or certainly seriously injured, were it not for the air bag and seat belt. My air bag, seat belt, and the structural integrity of the truck saved my life. I had only a few bruises. The truck was totaled, but I was so impressed by its performance while I owned it and in this worst of circumstances, that Im buying another one!

I own a 2002 XE V6 4X4 extended cab. For the most part truck has been a good vehicle. The only major complaints that I have with the vehicle is that it is a bit under powered. The gas mileage is not the greatest averaging about 17-18 mpg. Lastly, at about 5000 miles the vehicle developed a few really annoying squeaks and rattles. Other than those few items the truck has been great so far.

I just bought my Frontier used, and so far I have been very happy with it. Only problems have been a few rattles that I believe are fixable, poor gas mileage, and my motorcycle (Ducati Monster) will not fit in the bed with the tail gate closed(misses it by a few inches). The only other problem is my wife steals my truck all the time.

  • BOUGHT A LEMON - 2002 Nissan Frontier

I BOUGHT MY TRUCK IN APRIL 2002. HAD IT ONLY 6MTHS. WITH 14,000 MILES ON IT . MY HUSBAND WAS CHANGING MY OIL & FOUND IT HAD 2 LEAKS THE POWER STEERING WAS LEAKING & THE TRANSMISSION WAS LEAKING TOOK IT TOO THE DEALERSHIP. NISSAN WOULDNT PUT A NEW TRANSMISSION IN IT . THEY HAD IT FOR 40 DAYS REPLACING THE SEALS & THEY COULD OF JUST PUT A NEW ONE IN , I DID THE LEMON LAW ON THEM. I LOVED THE TRUCK OTHERWISE & ALWAYS GOT COMPLIMENTS ON IT . TOWING CAPACITY GOOD & GREAT IN THE SNOW. POOR GAS MILEAGE THOUGH. IVE ALWAYS HEARD GOOD ABOUT NISSAN THATS WHY I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK BUT THIS EXPERIENCE HAS MADE ME THINK DIFFERENT OF NISSAN

  • The Zen of Trucks 2 - 2002 Nissan Frontier

Its been almost 2 years and Im still loving this truck. Its by far the best vehicle Ive ever had. The style and preformance cannot be match by any of the other small trucks on the market. I would still recommend this truck to anyone. Just be sure to get the long bed. Dont waste your time on the short bed.

  • GO FRONTIER! - 2002 Nissan Frontier

Overall, I really like my Frontier. Its great for short trips in town or long vacation trips. The crew cab works out great for small to medium size children. I highly recommend the crew cab. It hauls kids, groceries, and a full load in the cargo bed. Would I buy another Frontier? YES!
