Overview & Reviews
Nissan's pickup line expands to 11 models, including the new Desert Runner and a four-door Frontier Crew Cab.
- Powerful engines, good ergonomics, spacious interiors. Four-door Crew Cab is an industry first.
- No V6 in Regular Cab models, frumpy styling.

best vehicle Ive ever had - 2000 Nissan Frontier
By roger - December 24 - 6:23 pmJust gas it up an go, it will get you there. A set of tires,1 brake job and 2 headlights is my maintenance repairs in 10 years. It will need to be totaled before I sell this truck.

Crew cab - 2000 Nissan Frontier
By organic - September 1 - 10:00 amMy crewcab has over 140000 miles on it and it still looks and drives like new. It had provides fuel mileage of 19 mpg since it was new and this never varies. It tows heavy trailers well and is okay on snow and ice. I would advise tires with a smaller contact patch in the winter snow. The service manual is way overpriced and one of the plugs is a bear to change.

2000 Crew Cab Frontier - 2000 Nissan Frontier
By DWhite - August 13 - 10:00 amI absolutley love my Crew Cab Frontier. I have had it for over two years now and it is still running strong. I use it to pull my horse trailer and still get double digit gas mileage. Pulled a loaded UHaul across country this past March and got double digit gas mileage, too. It is a pathfinder with a truck bed. It is sharp looking, fun to drive, good on gas, just a great truck! I really like the Nissan products, this is my third. It satisfies my need to pull my horses and yet can be utilized year round without costing a lot on gas. Highly recommend!

Competent Vehicle - 2000 Nissan Frontier
By MJ - April 24 - 9:23 pmPurchased new December 1999. Currently has 93,000+ miles. K&N air filter increased the gas mileage by about 1.5 mpg. 18.5 mpg city / 20.5 highway. Recall on the exhaust manifold in the first year. Left rear window started dragging 2005. ($250-) Replaced Front brake pads at 45k and 90k miles. Surprisingly competent off road, and in the snow. Original tires lasted 72k miles. Rear bumper $400, taillight $115. Truck doesnt feel 6 years old. No squeaks or rattles. I drive it on rough logging roads regularly. Ill probably keep it for another 5 or 6 years and consider another Nissan. It has a surprising amount of articulation in the suspension and is really fun off road. Leer Canopy is great.

By dfmcarlson - April 12 - 8:19 pmMy dads 2000 nissan frontier 4x4 4 cyl manual has been the most reliable truck, he bought it new it has 260,000 miles everything in the truck is still all original has never been touched, same water pump, same thermostat, same clutch and pressure plate you name it its still all there. except for a cracked exhaust manifold i just replace a couple days ago. its been beat up bad its been threw water up to the hood waters coming in the truck but does not burn any oil at all for almost 300,000 miles no truck could ever last and have been beat up as this one has.

Youve gotta know! - 2000 Nissan Frontier
By Dad w/3 kids - April 1 - 12:03 pmComing out of a Nissan minivan I wanted to stay high up, w/room for 3 younger kids. With 86k miles not one problem. What a great experience and no money out of pocket. Being a car salesman myself and now going to a Nissan SUV. I do recommend for a used vehicle buyer. The back seat is smaller but overall handles very well.

2000 Nissan Desert Runner - 2000 Nissan Frontier
By 2000 Nissan Frontier - November 9 - 9:16 pmBought this truck used in 2001, it had 36,000 on it. Paid $10,500. Its been a great truck very reliable I currently have 165,000 miles on it and runs great. Fuel economy not so good 17-18 mpg. Tires last a long time with no alignment needed, just rotate and balance. Ive used Amsoil Synthetics in it for years and change the oil every 15,000 miles. I use it as a service truck in my business and its been a good work horse.
