  • My First vehicle - 2002 Nissan Frontier

I have a 2000 nissan frontier and I love it. It is my first vehicle. The truck has been very good for me, I havent had any major problems with it. It gets me back and forth to where I need to go with no problems. I have fun driving the truck. Because of my experience with the truck I will probably buy another Frontier in the future.

  • Frontier Desert Runner - 2002 Nissan Frontier

Have had the truck just over a year and have not been overly thrilled. As a Desert Runner it is fun to drive off road and you can go anywhere you want, but it feels unconnected from the road and like it is working very hard on the interstate to keep up to speed. Its okay, but not quite as good as I would have liked.

  • All Around Decent Truck, But... - 2002 Nissan Frontier

Lots of people have complained about the gas mileage and yes its not great. Recently, got about 315 miles on 15.6 gallons. Thats about 20 MPG with mostly highway driving and thats what the sticker said, so Im not complaining. Very pleased with the long bed. Ive run into quite a few instances where the extra length was needed. I really like the overall versatility of the truck. It seats five (somewhat comfortably) and yet still has plenty of room in the bed for bikes, fishing gear, whatever.

  • so far, so good - 2002 Nissan Frontier

I had a 95 Nissan pickup that never did me wrong, but it was time to get something newer. I decided to stick with Nissan due to my past experience. I love this truck, but I keep hearing about people having problems with them and that scares me. One thing I can say is that the A/C makes some strange noises that I fear will mean problems in the future. Also, my clutch pedal squeaks. Gas mileage stinks big time. Overall, I think its great, but Im still worried that it will end up having some problems .

  • My 2001 Frontier - 2002 Nissan Frontier

Been a little over a year, and a little over 17,000 miles. 4 cylinder, auto king cab xe... I have to have a truck for work...and I dont have lots of money. The Frontier fits the bill. It hasnt faultered once, carries dirt, landfill, and all the stuff I need it to, and it looks "funky". I live in FLA, and its very, very hot now. Im amazed at how cold the ac is. Its not fast, wasnt meant to be...it doesnt corner well, and that doesnt matter to me. Little kid in on my block calls it "future truck." Good title, cause I plan on keeping this truck well into the future.

  • Avoid this Lemon - 2002 Nissan Frontier
    By -

This truck has been a lemon since the day I bought it. The knock sensor and the catalytic converters (yes, plural) go bad at 100k miles, and youre looking at 3k to fix all this, or else you cant pass emissions. Ive talked to mechanics and they say that they see this all the time with Nissan frontiers. Youll need to get the Nissan parts, because aftermarket parts arent compatible and youll waste your money, & still not pass emissions. The AC has gone out on me twice, and even the electrical components struggle. Ive only got 145k highway miles, and Ive struggled mightily with the catalytic converters, knock sensors, AC unit (broken twice), electrical, tailgate handle, door handle

  • Kinda Used.. - 2002 Nissan Frontier

I was driving a Crown Vic. I loved my roomy 4.6 V8 car,but i needed something more updated; plus, people always thought i was a cop. Loved the look of the Nissan for the dollar. Both the Ford and Dodge had better engines, but the Dodge was too expensive and the jumpseats in the Ford are a joke. I settled on A Nissan XE 2002 barely used. It only had 4000 miles on it, and most of the features i wanted. I built my truck online and i would of had to pay much more money if was brand new. I got a find.

  • First truck and so far, so good - 2002 Nissan Frontier

A year and 13K+ miles, no major problems so far. Sales process and service top notch. For pros & cons, here we go: This is not a full size truck. This thing bounces around on rouch roads like Charo from the Love Boat. I got the Crew Cab for my 3 year old and it is tight, yet very functional. Also, this thing sucks petrel like no other 6-cylinder, albeit supercharged, engine I have ever seen. A- for you looking for me to grade on a curve.
