  • Excellent basic weekend pick-up - 2002 Nissan Frontier

I shopped this and the Toyota Tacoma - this had a better price point, and the dealer was not the usual jeck. Runs fine, no issues in 10 months. Great weekend hauler.

  • Solar Yellow + Rockford Fosgate= FUN - 2002 Nissan Frontier

I am averaging 20mpg with my truck and I love everything about it! Everyone looks when I drive by, the solar yellow makes it easy to find in a parking lot. Get the Rockford Fosgate sound system! It drives very quiet and the automatic transmission shifts with ease.

  • Sure Looks Nice, But Quality is So-So - 2002 Nissan Frontier

Well let me say that my wife loves our 2001 SE.. Im a bit more critical. I think the interior materials are way too cheap plus the clock is just about useless in daylight. We have the regular SE and power is lacking. Also it sucks down gas faster than I can say fill er up. Styling wise.. total thumbs up.. very attractive truck. This is a good compromise between SUV and utility vehicle. I have two boys(12 and 9) and they fit comfortably. Plus the big plus is that it fits in my garage! So overall, I am a bit disappointed that a $25,000 truck has such a low grade interior, but dollar for dollar its probably one of the better values out there.

  • For the price......you cant beat it! - 2002 Nissan Frontier

I bought the Nissan Frontier based solely on price. I found that the Toyota Tacoma Crew Cab was at least $3,000 more with similar equipment. The Dodge Dakota was a contender but it was $2,000 more with similar equipment. Plus the way this truck looks is just plain mean...another advantage is most Frontier drivers have the short bed. The longer bed and the price is what sold me. I didnt buy the 4X4 because there is no use for it in the city. I do wish it was more gas efficient but I knew this buying the truck so it is not a great concern for me. Overall I love the truck.

I am very impressed with Nissans overall attention to detail with this truck. This truck won out over some tough competitors when it came time to shop for a new vehicle. In fact Nissan was not an original choice, whereas; Ford, Toyota and GM were. Great job Nissan!!

  • great truck, much better than its review - 2002 Nissan Frontier

despite lackluster magazine reviews, I have a fleet of these trucks (they seemed the best value for the money, and unlike the Toyotas, can be had for around $4000LESS than MSRP) and am thoroughly impressed. Ill purchase another fleet of the same truck in three years.

  • Lots of Warranty Work, but still fun - 2002 Nissan Frontier
    By -

I have had my truck in the shop several times since I bought it in October. Bad rotors, faulty computer, popping noise in front end, and this week - bad window motor. The good news - I dont have a single complaint for the service department. They are quick and friendly. Those are, for the most part, minor problems covered by warranty. I still love the truck and after 10,500 miles in 8 months, its still fun to drive.

The vehicle performs well for a pickup at all speeds. Nice quite ride, lots of cab room (4 door Crew Cab), and a superior sound system stock.
