This Year's Model Updates:

Nissan's compact pickup rolls into 2003 with many new enhancements. Most interesting is a power-operated retractable top. The "Open Sky" top -- essentially a giant sunroof -- is optional on Crew Cab models. For safety, Nissan has added standard dual-stage front airbags for Crew Cabs, standard LATCH child seat anchors on King Cabs and Crew cabs, an optional stability control system and an optional tire pressure monitoring system. Other changes for 2003 include 10 more horsepower for normally aspirated V6 models, a driver seat-height adjuster and standard Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). King Cabs now have standard ABS, a new storage bin and a new first aid kit (V6 only).

Pros:
  • Wide variety of body configurations and trim levels, many safety and convenience features.
Cons:
  • No third door on King Cabs, cramped rear seats for Crew Cabs.

  • Excellent Truck - 2003 Nissan Frontier

100% problem free at 8K, MUCH more roomy than the Toyota Tacoma, Easy to self maintain the basics i.e. oil changes, filters, etc., Factory installed tires on 16in aluminum give a secure feel on the highway going 55 in heavy rain.

I love my truck. Crew Cab SE with the upgrade Rockford Fosgate Stereo system. Ive owned other compact trucks but this takes the cake. I get more complements than anything Ive ever driven. To me, it handles and accelerates with the best of them and I do not regret not getting the super charged engine. Dont hesitate if your thinking about getting one. They are a blast to drive (due to strength) and fun to boot...

  • Top Notch Nissan - 2003 Nissan Frontier

I have owned an 84 Nissan truck, a 95 XE V6 ext cab, and now the 2003 Frontier XE V6 Desert Runner. By far the best Nissan I have owned to date. Every design short coming of my previous truck ( which were few) have been re vamped and nicely modernized. Nissan continues to lead the pack in design and performance. My 95 2WD being the work horse it was, I opted to buy an 2WD Frontier. With the added ground clearance, who needs 4WD? She gets me every where I wanna go........

  • So Far So Great - 2003 Nissan Frontier

Ive owned Toyota pickups in the past, and I come from a family of "American Only" trucks. I have to say that this is by far the most bang for my buck. The towing capacity is terrific, and my daughter fits well in the back seat. My wife, who happens to drive a top of the line Honda Accord V6 completely enjoys this truck.

  • Performance at its best - 2003 Nissan Frontier

This truck is a must have for young consumers with a lot of cash. I love the beauty and comfort of the fronty when travelling on those gravel roads. And when I mean gravel I mean gravel. The interior design is quite to eye popper. I love the sound system. Nothing comes close to my fronty with the loud supercharger, giving me the power.

  • Best Truck Ever Built - 2003 Nissan Frontier

Nissan has really built an excellent truck. It does everything I need it to do. The ride is great, the looks are awesome, and the engine is the quietest Ive heard.

  • Getting What you Paid For - 2003 Nissan Frontier

It is what is is ... a small truck, as opposed to full sized trucks. A great truck all around. Sound design and feel.

  • Good Value for the money - 2003 Nissan Frontier
    By -

Excellent Value for the money. The V6 Runs strong, handles good for a truck. Gas mileage is average for trucks in this class. The interior is laid out well. Very comfortable and fun to drive on long trips. This truck can rival any compact truck around. Very impressive for the price. Good, reliable and well built. The Frontier in my opinion is highly underrated. Good looking too. Nothing else looks like it.
