Lots of Bang for the Buck - 2000 Nissan Frontier
By slayrdave - December 22 - 10:00 amA very sexy truck with matching fiberglass cap.Only two problems:A electrical short behind the dash disabled the power windows when the cruise control was used.Always occured with the windows down. Two visits to the dealer before it was corrected.Truck body has the SHAKES,Dealer balanced and re balanced tires, installed new Driveshaft prop.Concluded I had a tire out of round, suggested that I buy new tires.Dealer needs to work on Customer Service.I think its stupid to make an appointment for an oil change.I would like to add that Ford,Chevy, and Toyota couldnt match my Frontier in price!! Value will sale trucks.

Excellent import , beats any domestic! - 2000 Nissan Frontier
By Lear - August 28 - 3:20 pmAs with any of the top-3 Japanese auto makers (Nissan/Toyota/Honda), this Nissan is an excellent quality vehicle. Designed and build with quality materials and engineering for many of use, not just the first 2-5 years, then ragg-out. Very reliable, excellent resale, great mileage. Cant beat it!

Great Truck for a small Family - 2000 Nissan Frontier
By frontiernc - March 4 - 10:00 amGreat Medium Sized Truck. Great for small jobs to medium jobs for around the house. Can get up to 2 cube yards of mulch. Good in Traffic, good for long trips. Some bugs with the truck at First, Rear Main Seal(fixed), Wiper Motors(fixed), couple of rattles(fixed). Get 16-20 MPG. 4WD great in Snow. Tire Wear Great. Routine maintenance Costs are middle of road with Nissan. 4 door option is good for Groceries. Very Simple but Functional interior design.Solid outside Design, best Paint job, no chips in front. No so great Dealerships with Nissan if you have a problem.

90K and counting - loving it - Shift4x4 - 2000 Nissan Frontier
By Shift4x4 - August 20 - 7:56 pmThis truck has exceeded my expectations, A new purchase and have enjoyed very mile. only issue has been, battery replaces at 4th year, leaking a/c hose replaced compressor to top of condenser, new tires after 5th year and heat shields on exhaust removed (they began to rattle) due to some corrosion. I am not planning on getting rid of anytime soon. too much plastic in the front grill and fascia on the new one I will wait for a nicer design. I like its towing capacity, I have taken it from philadelphia to montreal several times with a fully loaded trailer, perfomance was good. the cruise control light, dimmer, and radio controls are a bit out of view on this model. overall I love it.

2000 Nissan Crew Cab XE 4wd V6 Auto - 2000 Nissan Frontier
By kd7oqc - November 12 - 2:00 amAs it gets older, it will get a lot of off road / back road use. I want compact external dimensions, and a short turning radius for the (almost) roads that often use. This fills the bill. It is quiet on the freeway. The only real wind noise comes from the bug deflector. We average 18.5 mpg with a canopy, a bed full of "family stuff" and 4 people in the truck. It has no squeaks and rattles.

Frontier 4X4 Crew Cab 2000 - 2000 Nissan Frontier
By sleeksteel - July 31 - 1:58 pmExtraordinary performance and quality. The best vehicle I have ever owned. Bought it new and have had this 2000 model since winter of 1999. Have close to 200,000 miles! I will keep this truck forever. Have a couple of rust spots, which I sprayed rust remover, sanded it off, and painted it. My truck still looks like new with some minor dents. I keep up with the maintenance: oil, lubes, tires, tune-ups, etc. I enjoy off-roading out in the country.

Nissan is the best old or new - 2000 Nissan Frontier
By don - June 22 - 7:43 amI have a 2000 loaded Se 4x4 frontier, which will be up for sale in June 2010, low miles, under 50,000 miles, I have been thrilled with my truck for the last 10 years, and I can hardly wait to get the new 2010, I will get a 2010 LE CC Long Bed, Loaded with everything except the Moon Roof, that is the only thing I have not enjoyed on my 2000.

Nice truck from Nissan - 2000 Nissan Frontier
By Peterd1987 - October 17 - 5:26 amSwitched from a 21 year old Nissan Hardbody D21 to a 2000 Frontier Desert Runner. Bought with 60,000 miles. I like the tough look of the Desert Runner, it looks tough. No major maintenance other than replaced brake pads and rotors. Exhaust heat shields rattle at 1500 RPM and rear slider and other windows rattle. Other than those minor things, I love the truck. Nice acceleration and power, comfortable, and great visibility. The only major design problem is the horrible 5th gear. 3000 RPM at 70 MPH... could be much lower, especially with the V6 to get better gas mileage.
