This Year's Model Updates:

For 2005, the Armada receives active head restraints and seatbelt pre-tensioners for the first row, a unique wheel finish for SE models and metallic interior accent trim for all models. A power liftgate has been added to the SE Sunroof Package while a new RearView Monitor is now included in the Technology Package.

Pros:
  • Spacious interior, monster motor, lots of storage areas up front, fold-flat third-row seat, comfortable ride quality around town, solid tow rating.
Cons:
  • Leather seats not as comfortable as their cloth counterparts, dismal fuel mileage, cumbersome to park.

  • Be Careful - 2005 Nissan Armada

This vehicle has serious brake issues! I have an 2005 model and at 2000 miles of city driving, the wheel and pedal started to vibrate. Now with 3000 it is so bad it is embarassing to drive with friends. Nissan was just "turning" the rotors but now have developed a new brake kit however the dealers in my area are clueless when the will get the upgrade. Make sure you get an upgrade before you buy!!!!!!!!! P.S. nissan says this upgrade will work...only time will tell.

  • Great but must like big things - 2005 Nissan Armada

We purchased this suv in July and traded in my Acura TL since it was too small for our growing family. My only conflict with this Armada is that it is not the Acura. I miss my car, but it is a great SUV !

  • noisey sunroof - 2005 Nissan Armada

This a fun ride with plenty of power performs very well in interstate trafic . The sunroof is anouther story, It sounds like you have a window cracked open. we took it back and had a wind deflector installed a the dealer an it helped a very little. If i was going to buy anouther Amarda LE 4+4. I would not get it with a sunroof.the climate control doesent seem to work right either, and the mirrors hav blind spots this could han been easly fixed at the plant, the trucks have the right mirrors.

  • Girly suv to manly suv - 2005 Nissan Armada

Husband was too tall for the Lexus RX300, so we traded it for the Armada. Took some time to get use to, but I am finally loving this BEAST. Its a big SUV that deserves a bow. It handles well and has a lot of power when I need it. Nav needs help, did send me to the wrong location. It carries all of my shopping with no problems, along w/ husband, toddler and dog in tow. I get compliments on this SUV everywhere I go. I feel safe, but I pay for the safety and the looks at the pump.. This beast is always hungry for more gas, what SUV isnt? Overall, I am very happy with our purchase. You get alot for what you pay on this SUV.

  • Better than I thought it could be - 2005 Nissan Armada

I purchased a used Armada last month and have been impressed by the solidness of the vehicle thus far. In my 8500 miles of driving the vehicle, there have been no problems except for a wear mark on the drivers armrest. Navigation, homelink, DVD, transmission and engine have functioned seamlessly. The blindspots are not as large as I thought with the help of the side mirrors possioned properly. I am 6-10" and fit quite well comparred to the Toyota and Ford equalls. No regrets in purchasing the Armada and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

  • Nice Secret - 2005 Nissan Armada

Bought this 05 model in 12/05 preowned with 16K miles, in immaculate condition. No brake problems at all. We have had it 18 months and it now has 39,500 miles. It literally has never been in the shop, and it still drives perfect. Wifes daily car and she loves it. I am impressed every time I drive it, to the point that I want one also. Were considering a new 08 with all the extra options (roof, 4X4, DVD, nav). I loaded it with 4 adults, 2 kids, too much luggage, roof luggage rack, trailer hitch rack and drove it 80+ mph on West Texas Interstates for 1,200+ miles round trip to NM. It surprised me how smooth, powerful, and stable it was. Still got 17.3 mpg

  • LEMON - 2005 Nissan Armada
    By -

Within 400 miles my Armada was back at the dealers. First to have the oil pump changed (be aware that Nissans arrogant business model means that they dont have spares available yet and you will have a long wait), and there it remained when they discovered that they needed to replace the whole engine. Its now been in the garage for 30 days. I will never drive this car again. It is a LEMON.

  • Great Vehicle - 2005 Nissan Armada

I love it so much. It has enough space. The only thing is the SE should have fog lights. That would bring them out also. Other than that the Armadas are Great!!!!!!!!!
