This Year's Model Updates:

The Pathfinder Armada is an all-new full-size sport-utility vehicle from Nissan. Based on the Titan pickup, it features a standard V8 engine, seating for eight and numerous family-friendly features.

Pros:
  • Spacious interior, gutsy V8, lots of up-front storage areas, fold-flat third-row seat.
Cons:
  • Bold styling is polarizing, leather seats not as comfortable as cloth, dismal fuel mileage.

Three days/three hundred fifty miles and its exceeded expectations thus far. I purchased the leather even though the reviews were not favorable. I find the seats both supportive and comfortable. I did find a small screw pushing out from the side of the seat when I purchased. This was a little unnerving but I tested the seat thoroughly and have not had a problem. Gas mileage is what I expected. The steering wheel mounted controls/wireless headsets for the stereo and DVD have made driving more pleasant. Both family and friends have been impressed with the amount of room in the 2nd row. Acceleration and braking exceeded my high expectations.

We bought the Armada used and was very please with its condition. Its pickup is awesome and I love the space it provides for my large family.

This is the first SUV for my famnily of 5...I just couldnt see myself in a minivan.... I did a lot of reasearch of this vehicle, it has somewhat paid off... I enjoy the standard safety features, not otherwise offered with its competors...

After a few weeks of adjusting to a large size SUV, I can honestly say that I love my Armada. I have had all the 1st year out problems however (2 new sets of brakes & rotors in 6000 miles and the replacement of the casing for the DVD screen) but they get fixed and I move along. The turning radius of the truck is better than on any car Ive ever driven-I can get into some of the tighest spots! The pick up is there when you need it and there is more than enough room for all the strollers and groceries. Now if it didnt cost $50 a week to fill Id love it more.

Compared to Sequoia, Expedition and Tahoe, the Armada has more standard features, more power, drives and handles better, and is roomier. Nicest vehicle of all the large SUVs. All of that and it is the best priced.

  • Yukon/Tahoe Fighter!? - 2004 Nissan Armada

Nissan could have done a better job of marketing this vehichle. All of the Armadas competition has some sort of financing incentive, it is hard to justify spending the amount of money on this vehicle when you could get a yukon with zero percent financing and similar equipment. The main reasons I bought the Armada over the Yukon; First reason was the safety features that it has over the yukon. The roll over protection is a big deal that none of the competition offers. Second; fold flat third row seating, there is way too much wasted space in the yukon and it is near impossible to get into the third row. Finally engine and transmission.

  • Nissan Needs to brush up on fit & finish - 2004 Nissan Armada

At 4200 miles lost the transmission actuator. Could not put it to reverse. At Park vehicle could move freely with ignition off. Had it towed to dealer. NISSAN Corporate was POOR in pleasing the customer.

  • Front Brakes Suck - 2004 Nissan Armada
    By -

After only 20,000 miles the front rotors have been turned down twice. The front braking system was replaced once and it appears that it will require more attention at 26,000 miles. There seems to be 4 - 5 thousand miles between brake repairs. The rotors become warped and either require machining or replacement. It appears that the brakes are undersized. The same braking system is used on the Titan, which has a similar record.

  • good suv, but........ - 2004 Nissan Armada

the armada has been a wonderful suv for me. the performance is great. there are some flaws in the brake rotors. also the interior overhead console was poorly designed - the plastic rattles.

  • Best Value In the Marketplace - 2004 Nissan Armada

Easily most truck for the money. More than enough power, awesome Bose stereo, and lots of room for all my stuff, the wife and the kids. Ive upgraded intake and exhaust and now get almost 350hp, def. something to do.
